What are your thoughts on Patreon?
I know some people are opposed to the idea of having this kind of campaign, but as a creator this can be very useful for me, especially when it comes to funding my own projects so I can actually work on them. It wouldn't effect my uploads on my art pages. I will likely continue to upload just as frequently and the same sort of content.
However I was considering sharing comic scripts , pages, and even art tutorials through Patreon. pretty much personal projects I don't have a lot of time or energy to share/work on after most commission work. This could be a little extra tip on the side to help me do some of the work I really love. Plus I'd like to throw an extra bone to supporters and write up some art tutorials or stream a few demos.
Your thoughts? Is this at all interesting to any of my followers? I'd like to test the waters for to see if it's worth exploring.

Yeah it looks really cool so far. I just gotta narrow in on what project I'd like to do before I get started on anything.

It can't hurt to try but I've seen some really varied results. People from YouTube naturally find it a lot easier to gather a Patron following than pretty much every furry page I've seen, and the furry content getting decent pledges is webcomics. Also think hard about the kind of content you will have. If everything is family friendly, Patreon will allow Paypal as well as credit cards, but any adult content and you'll have to rely purely on people who can contribute via credit card - something that may affect numbers.
Still, it's young yet and theoretically the longer you have a page running and continue contributing, the better your chances at gathering more support. I've only been at it for a few weeks, so haven't gotten my first pledge amounts in the bank but it's been really nice just having a sort of excuse to allow myself some personal art every week. ^..^

This would be for my content which isn't sexually explicit or furry for the most part so I don't see any problems with using paypal. It may actually be nice to have that setup. This may not be something I'll jump into immediately. I need to build up some decent work to put up first. But I have stories and concepts I'd like to get out there I just need funding to go forward with them. This may be good to do just that.
