Fifty people...that's how many they placed into a room that was only about 16x30. That's about the size of the average living room, maybe a few extra feet. That's crowded. Took most everything to avoid freaking out, honestly. I don't like crowds, but at least it wasn't a long wait. They brought about 20 of us in for pictures, had to get those for our badges. I'm never going to get used to getting my picture taken, but at least someone pronounced my name right on the first try (about time). The whole process took us about 15 minutes, after which we made our way up to a conference room on the second floor.

I have to say, the interior size of the building actually doesn't seem to be as big as I thoguht it would be. It's still a giant building and it took a little while to get to the conference room, but it wasn't that long of a walk. After the other thirty or so arrived, we spent a couple hours going over some forms and getting everyone situated. By about 1200m we split off into groups, some going to sales, others to the PDC.

Most of the first two hours were spent with intorductions and being shown around the place. It was all very industrial looking, but we barely got to see a quarter of it. The area we would be working in fits the definition of a warehouse almost perfectly. Tons of parts lined thousands of shelves. We would be picking the parts from these "bins" and packing them for shipment. Not my preferred line of work but at least it's a decent jobm pay wise and benefits wise. Nice and close tohome too.

The learning modules we had to work on were incredibly boring unfortunately, and with 24 of us in the same class/group, it was very VERY slow going. In fact, by the end of the day, we hadn't even finished what we had wanted to. Most of the time spent waiting, I spent writing.
