Plea for help from people in the Alexandria, LA area! by Thaily

So sorry to have to ask, but it's quite important.

Short background: I have a friend whom I've been friends with for over a decade. He's a good guy; kind, generous, considerate, really dedicated to doing work for a cheetah (and other big cat/African predators) charity. He lives in the Netherlands, quite close to me actually, sadly his girlfriend does not.

She lives in Louisiana and is forced into a really shitty situation with two crazy families and a spineless ex who cheated on her even though she has a kid with him. She wants to move out to the Netherlands to be with her boyfriend (who loves the kid, has a home, a stable job, supportive family&friends) but all the shitty people in her life are trying to get her to abandon her child!
They want her to move out to the Netherlands without her son, even though they (including the father) have ignored the poor kid for most of his young life and don't want to take care of him. They're doing things like breaking into her laptop, going through her personal things, the ex said he installed spyware and keyloggers, her own mother is trying to force her out of the house she fled to, which actually belongs to her aunt, but her aunt can't stand up to her sister. Her own mother said she'd like her daughter to go live in a car in a parking lot somewhere and they'll just keep her son!

As you can imagine it's pretty stressful and it's going to be worse once she files for legal action to take her son with her to the Netherlands. She's worried about being evicted (by the mother from the aunt's house) so what I'm asking for is...

Could anyone host a mother and child for approx. 2 months?!

She has a job, so she'll pitch in for groceries and utilities. She's also an excellent cook! Her son goes to daycare, so they won't be in the house all day, every day. She's a really nice person whom is stuck and isolated in a really crappy situation, it would mean the world (to her and the people on this side of the pond who love her and are frustrated that we can't do more for her) if someone could give her a little bit of help.

Or if you can't help, at least help to spread the word? We'd all be very appreciative.
If you have any information you'd prefer to share privately, please feel free to shoot me a note.

And thank you for reading!

    Some people are sick.

Really, I don't know how people like this can live with themselves.

Indeed. I hope all goes well for her and her son.
