New Job Get! by Forest

That's right, after trying for a few weeks, I think I've finally found something better than my current position up in Seattle! Its closer to where I live so less of a commute, the hours are relatively flexible, the pay is much higher (like ridiculously so) and everyone there seems real nice. They seemed to enjoy talking with me, I actually lost track of time while we were chatting. I don't think I've ever actually had fun in an interview before.

All in all, I really feel like this is a welcome change of environment for me. As much as I love working where I do now, a 3 hour commute (total) each day was leaving me drained and out of it. Not to mention the IT director constantly questioning my hours, despite the fact that I've never been late with a project, never missed a deadline, and always done my level best...Bleh. X3 I'm not upset with him, but I do pride myself on my work ethic, and this place gave me an opportunity when no one else was accepting someone of my experience level. I learned a lot working there, gained a lot of experience, and while I do enjoy working with everyone there, I do think its about time for me to move on.

I'm still dreading the look of disappointment on my boss' face when I tell him though. XP But I need to do what's best for me, and all the people that depend on me (its becoming quite a list, lol). We'll see how that goes on Monday.

So! I feel really blessed for the opportunites I've recieved, and that things have worked out in my favor so often lately (depsite the stress of not being paid on time and such). I hope this leads to my being around more in general, and feeling not quite so stressed and worn out at the end of the day. We'll see how this goes!

Take care everyone!
