Anyone else outside watching?
You really need a tripod and if it's a DSLR: Set to shutter speed priorty and set the speed to something incredibly slow (if it's a fraction of a second that's still too fast) as well as increase the aperature if the moon is looking too 'dark'
It is, a Rebel Ti3. I really don't know much about it, but I don't have the tripod and have been messing with the settings to no avail so far. I dropped the ball on this one, totally. ^^; So would that be the 1/125 number on the display?
That would be 1/125 of a second, that's still really quick so I'd expect the image to be darker, but as the shutter speed goes down (like 1/8 is faster than 1/5) it may look more blurred as you hold it manually, it's really hard for me to hold a camera due to tremors. The alternative is if you can find something flat and angle it so all you need to do is push the button and chimp it until you find the a suitable setting.
Actually, the best photo I got was at 1/1000 secs tonight. Different strokes for different folks.

I'm glad I saw this journal because I thought it was tomorrow night and I would've totally missed it! Managed to get one photo that doesn't look totally like a blob, at least.

Yes, and trying to get pictures but failing. Researching right now on how to draw some more light in, but ugh. x_x I should've done this before.
