Favorites Bar-- fix and suggestions by Phantastus
Whoa, just discovered the change to the favorites setting!
Like many others, I'm definitely not a fan of having favorites displayed directly under my artwork-- while I LOVE showcasing work from artists I admire, I don't want it confused for my own!
Luckily, you can turn it off in Settings --> Site Preferences --> Custom Profile options, so no need for alarm.
That said, I'm a little curious as to why this change was made instead of something like making the favorites pages themselves easier to browse and view-- it would showcase the work a lot better if we were allowed to view more than two thin rows of images per page. That's one of the only things that I definitely prefer on sites like FA or DA compared to Weasyl.

Yeah, I don't necessarily mind the character section being featured above the faves, but I definitely want more than two lines of thumbnails per page. I confess I don't really understand the reasoning behind that, especially when our own gallery pages feature much more than that and look better!

Regarding making certain pages easier to browse; given it often just displays a thumbnail and title, I've been using [square brackets] to give additional information.

I admit I did have it off, I'd rather have it further away from my own work no matter how lovely the work is.
But now its back so i guess they decided you better like it or else! :)

Haha I think they're working on it, but I did see that it popped back up and was like >8( Hopefully they'll make it optional again.

Hear hear! Good to know it's optional now but I'd like some changes of how favourites are browsed too.
Also if you have both artwork and characters faved characters' icons will always be above artwork and I'm not sure I like that, considering that artwork get added to favourites more often.
