Art Usage

In a commissioned piece, I own all rights to the artwork (but not the character).

You, as the commissioner, are permitted to:

• Post the commissioned work to your FA or other website, giving credit wherever possible.
• Use the commissioned work as an avatar, giving credit wherever possible.
• Use the commissioned work as your desktop (if you'd like a desktop-sized version, let me know).
• Print the commissioned work for your personal use.
• Use the commissioned work as a badge, credit card background, or other personal item.
• Use the commissioned work commercially IF this has been discussed with me and I agree to it/have given permission.

You, as the commissioner (and anybody else) are not permitted to:

Use the work commercially in any way without prior permission. This includes selling prints, merchandise, books, CDs, featuring the art. A licensing fee may be required before you can use the art commercially.

I will never use commissioned work for commercial purposes (prints, merchandise, etc) -- except when I have permission from the commissioner, or for "collections" of work (both commissioned and non-commissioned) in the format of a portfolio or art book.

Payment

Payment is to be made up front or if requested, after a sketch conformation. Except for commissions over £60 - in this case, the commission may be paid 50% upfront and 50% on completion if desired.
At the moment I only accept Paypal for international clients. I will send you an invoice after the submission of a Commission Form.

Deadlines

I will usually give a deadline once the commission has been confirmed but for larger detailed pieces I shall be taking more time to work on the artwork, so expect it to be up to a week.
Your commission will be placed in a commission list which will also display the progress status (e.g. started, in progress or completed).

I also start working on a piece after payment, so the sooner the piece is paid for the sooner I can start.

Refunds

Refunds (full or partial) will be given if:

• The commissioner requests a refund after 1 month of waiting.
• The commissioner is genuinely unhappy with their commission (a partial refund will be given, or the work re-done)
• I cannot complete the commission for whatever reason, whether it be personal, lack of skill, or a difficult commissioner to work with (a full refund will be given).
• For works over £60 - if you wish to cancel after work has begun I will refund all except your deposit.

I have the right to cancel a commission and give a full refund at any time for any reason.

Sketches/WIPs

Unless requested, WIPs will not be sent to commissioners as this slows down production. The exception being if I am unsure of something.

I will only send sketches for approval.

Fixes

One fix may be requested per £15 spent on a commission. If you are genuinely unhappy with your commission as a whole, please discuss this with me. I am usually very willing to re-do the piece for free or offer a refund.

Communication

I can be reached via notes, or emailed at IndiWolfOnline@gmail.com (note that this is not my paypal address).

I am usually very prompt with communication, however if you do not receive a reply straight away, please wait at least 5 days before emailing again (unless you have something to add or wish to speak about a different subject).
