On lulz tracing bullshit, USA copyright laws, and anarchy by MaryHyena

There's been some lame tracing bullshit once again on FA and lulz, and that crap makes me less and less interested in drawing furry paw-made crap.
On tracing: you can trace as an exercise to begin with, I'll never report you (because I care too less about laws, the whole furry thing and copyright, especially if you don't make money with traced doodles - sorry, I don't call it artwork.) But be honest with yourself: if you traced, just recognize it. A certain furry site takes tracing way way too seriously. C'm'on, it's just some furry doodle!

On referencing: I never trace, I sometimes reference to correct an attitude, anatomy, musculature, positions, proportions... and then the drawing goes on its own way when I finish it. It's perfectly okay where I live, and anyway I'm way too anarchist and lazy to remember the photo I used as a ref, and thus to comply to US laws. C'm'on, it's just some furry doodle, it ain't worth interest except for a niche of fantasy/furry amateurs.

And while I'm at it: except when it's a trade or a gift (drawings made with Van-Weasel's char, or UV, or concepts I don't own like sergals), MY CHARACTERS AND DRAWINGS ON THIS GALLERY (as well as on FA as Clapantgrifon) ARE PUBLIC DOMAIN. When it ain't because I don't own the character or concept, it's clearly specified (like: sergals belong to Trancy Mick). Otherwise, FUCK COPYRIGHT.

Well, that's about it. I don't take my artwork seriously enough to care anyway. Actually, I have less and less respect toward my drawings.

Yup. This is pretty much my take on it.
