Lol I can rate journals? by Finchy

Just to be safe I'll always rate my journals mature. Never know when I feel the need to curse or whatever. I'll try to keep it civilized as much as possible though.

This is just a brief explanation I suppose. Ahem... Hi, some of you guys might know me from Secondlife, Furaffinity, or DeviantArt. If you know me from Deviantart, you are incredibly gifted with a good memory, of have been stalking me for forever trying to find out if I am alive because I am like NEVER there ever.

You will not be seeing new content from me for a good while, so I do apologize ahead of time. Life has thrown, not just a curveball, but a curve-bowling ball, and I no longer have the time to art even for myself. When I do get ruffle in my feathers, I might stream and take commissions during said stream. However, please know that my schedule is wonky at all times and I may have to suddenly leave. If you pay for a commission however, I will make a point to finish it if it didn't get completed in a stream.

I'm honestly miserable not being able to draw anymore, so I'm going to try my hardest to make time for it again soon. I currently am not taking commissions, but like I mentioned above, please do look out for special stream times and such. I will bring up my old join.me account and start doing that again.

A little about me...I've been involved in a family business now for a little over a year that has really skyrocketed through the roof, and because of this, I have been too busy for anything else. We cater to oil rigs in Texas, so if any of you are rig welders, maybe you'll see us sometime, or my father at least. It's a busy and taxing job, but it brings in a very good pay for the family.

I hate to say it, but if and when I DO post art any time in the future, it very well may indeed be vent art. I have had a rough few months, and it's really pressuring me. So, if you're a new follower, please bear with me. I am usually a very happy and care-free person. Don't unfollow because you think I'm gonna be all dark and depressing all the time! :P It's just been rough lately, and I may indeed vent through art if I get the chance.

I love to challenge myself, and want to brush up more on character designing and human art. I'm a huge fan of disney-esque styles as well as Don bluth and bluth falsies, and love the look of a messy digital painting. My favorite traditional medium is oil, and I have an aspiring goal to create and sell jewelry in the next year. If and when that happens, I'll be sure to post my works through photographs, and link to an etsy store I may end up having so that I can offer orders for the jewelry. It will most likely start out with beadwork and pendants, and hopefully if I get my hands on a kiln, it can progress to handmade glass fusion works!

I look forward to using this site as a fresh, clean slate, in both a professional and hobbyist way. I'm loving the layout so far, and am thrilled to already get a few followers. Happy arting, and I can't wait to see more from everyone!

* Oh by the way, I have recently been gifted with the game, Guild Wars 2 from my fiance. I am still fairly new, but loving it so far. If anyone plays, and is interested in tossing me a whisper, just like...send a PM or however this site works. I'll hook you up with a character name so you can harass me. When I DO have free time, I try to relieve some stress with a little gaming with my lover, who lives far away still. Maybe we can dungeon together i you're up to dealing with a noob ranger or elementalist. :P

I live in TX too! And funnily enough, my bf washes rigs as a job.

    I hope to see whatever art you produce! I love what you've posted so far ;v;

Oh god washing them sucks. I wish him the best with that, that is like, super dangerous I've heard! D: But working at one of those rigs in almost any position is a fantastic money maker. Maybe we've seen him, who knows~ It's cool to see other artists are around Texas. Perhaps one day I will be able to meet some of you guys in person. Maybe I'll go to an actual convention one year ha~

Thanks for the enthusiasm and love <3 It always makes me feel good when I've got people interested in my stuff. Hopefully I can put something on here more...up to date soon. if nothing else, I might just put cell phone pics of my college paintings from this semester up soon, and the glass fusion works I do have. Hopefully I won't be flooding the gallery with anything too sad or full of butts though, heheh.

He's fallen off trucks a few times and torn a chunk of skin off his leg when a piece of pressurized machinery at the truckwash malfunctioned. I hate that he works there, and he only makes minimum wage. It super sucks.

I've never been to a con either. There's one here in TX, Texas Furry Fiesta, I think it's around Dallas. Too far for me to travel unfortunately.

There's one that goes on near Corpus too I think. Maybe. I could be wrong. I live pretty close to Corpus but I just never have the drive to go to one. Honestly I live like 7 hours away from Plantersville, where the Ren faire usually is in October-November and I have more of an urge to drive all the way there than to Dallas to go to a convention that I may not even enjoy xD; I'm nervous to go to one from stories I've heard, but wouldn't mind going with a bunch of friends to give it a whirl one day.

And yikes... I've heard some terrible horror stories indeed from rig jobs. Though, I've heard one of the best and easiest jobs for a rig is a 'Hot shot' driver. Just...basically driving around everywhere, ordering things, issuing invoices, etc. I wouldn't want mine to work at one either though I do admit. I've been around that field of work my entire life, so I know what goes on, and the various dangers that follow. I hope he maybe finds something else later that might pay more and is less scary! Just takes a little working your way to the top though of course sometimes~

Wow, you're like on the total opposite side of TX from me! I'm on the north panhandle, so a drive to Dallas is like five hours I think?

Unfortunately, the vast majority of jobs around here take place in factories (butchering plant and cattle feed and a few feedyards). His job is probably one of the safer ones in town.

Oh wow lol~ I've been to alot of places aroung Texas though so I might have been around there. Guess we're both kind of at a halfway point too because that sounds about right for a drive to Dallas for me too if I take the right road.

And ugh yeah the place I live is kind of barren on job picking too. I would love to live back in Santa Fe where I grew up. It was the perfect blend of rural and urban surroundings. It was about 20 minutes from a mall and a shopping strip...and bordered alot of the bigger cities like Alvin Texas City Lamark, etc.
