Updates and resolutions. by LudoCrow

I'm currently in the process of uploading a batch of new art as I'm trying to put my galleries up to date.

This said, since I'm taking a break from TF sequences commissions, here's a few resolutions I want to take:

  1. Improve my art. I'm feeling like I'm hitting almost a point of stagnation lately so I really wish to kick through this.
This probably will mean trying to do more "real" personal art research when I'm not working on commissions. Maybe possibly more digital painting when I can pull it off(more on that later).

  2. Post more art in the first place. The last picture I posted is dated from the 23rd of March which is more than a week ago. Which, frankly, bothers me. Granted, a lot of the art I was working on was sequences I could not ideally post until they were complete(for gallery cohesion's sake) but it shouldn't prevent me from posting more art even if personal pieces or else. Which in fact:
2b: Post more personal art altogether. Commissions or not, I need to post more personal art, both for showing what I can do outside of sketch commissions but also for simple sanity's sake by drawing stuff I personally enjoy as well as well as doing art to personally improve, not just for money under the constraints of hourly prices or deadlines which add a time pressure to art.

3.: Make more digital paintings, even if only as personal works, and more colored works in general. Colors are one of the area where sometimes I feel I've stagnated, when not almost literally regressed in some areas, so it's something I want to practices as well as show more in my works.

  1. To go with the "Post more art" thing in general... ideally try to get a workflow of a new picture every days as often as possible, even if just to drill myself into a proper workflow again. If I'm in a situation where I need to make art my income for now due to a variety of reasons, I should better show it. And ideally, maybe try to diversify by trying to tackle different themes and genres than what people usually know me for. And finally:

  2. Stream more. It's something I need to do again, so expect more livestreams sessions next week if I can pull it off. I still have some limitations on my schedules due to my roomates so expect longer streams(though possibly ones which starts earlier rather than end later, due to the schedules constraints) as well as more days on which I'll be streaming. Maybe themed weeks for me to try to practices specific themes more when working on art, possibly even offering discounts for pieces

Anyway: TL:DR, I may have decided to take a break from a specific form of artwork(though not the underlying theme/genre behind it which I do still enjoy but I intend to break that bout of feeling like I'm doing nothing more than sitting on my lazy butt.
Expect to see more colored work again whenever I can pull it off, more pieces of different themes and genres and more art in general.

Expect another journal soon relating to commissions.

Updates and resolutions.

I think when you're in a rut, personal art is the way to go. Hopefully it will help :)

It's what I want to try out more when I won't be streaming artwork or commissions. A couple of the commissions I would get I seriously wouldn't mind. But at some point, with TF sequences I feel I hit a point of attrition(for lack of a better word) which caused me to just become exhausted from that type of works.
