MBTI - On the Cusp of E and I by loucathwil

Hey there,

I took the Myers Briggs test last year when I went to see a careers advisor, and they said that I was very close to being either INFJ or ENFJ.
I chose Extrovert, as although I enjoy my own company, I thrive on the contact of others – even going to the shopping centre and being around other people recharges me a little.
But, when it comes to job hunting, staying in contact with folks and generally arranging meet ups...I am very anxious and the fear of rejection overwhelms me.

Is this really the character of an ENFJ? or should I just accept that I'm an introvert in denial?

Any Advice or Anecdotes you can share would be greatly appreciated xx

From what I remember, ENFJs and INFJs have different 3 letter bases and are very different as children. I don't really buy much into MBTI anymore (I took a whole psych class on Personality Theory), but it's kinda interesting to examine. If you get more energy by being around people than being at home by yourself, then you're very likely an extrovert. Pure introverts dread going to public places and being around strangers.

Aha, i see :) I've been reading articles on ambiverts aswell, and I feel like I can relate to that set better.
But I agree that it shouldn't be something to rely soley on.

Thank you so much for your input xx :)
