To My Brony Fans by EbonyChimera

I would like to thank all of my fans in the My Little Pony community. The past year has been a very interesting one, but due to some recent issues, I just feel it’s time for me to move on to other endeavors with my art. While I know that there’s a lot of disappointment in this decision, the severity of some of the things that have been popping up have become more of a distraction to my creativity. Stress from the situation has just killed my drive for drawing pony-related art. This doesn’t mean I might not ever draw something in the future, but I highly doubt I’ll ever be publicly involved in the pony fandom like I was. So I ask that those true fans are understanding of this decision, but I have to take my own well-being, and that of my family into account as my priority. Thank you to those fans who did make the experience a fun one.

Well I'm sad to hear about this decision, but as always I support the choices you make about what you draw. The fandom has lost a great artist but I will always remember the great work and cherish the pony commissions I received from you.

I would like too say: Dont ever stop being an artist and never stop drawing what you love to draw. No matter what <3

I understand the need for informing customers and fans about you 'leaving' the fandom, but I feel that your decision is justified. Not only because of the drama that has occurred in the last year, but because it is a decision that you have made for yourself. A person should never be afraid of making changes such as this because it might hurt other people's feelings. They are not you. They can not make your choices for you and similarly can not dictate what the day to day goings on in your life are. There will be people who are upset as well as those who understand completely, but keep in mind, my friend, that this is your life. You own it, you run it and it is something only you should ever worry about.

That said, I wish you all the best of luck in the future, especially if it moves you away from so many absolutely toxic people. You do not deserve the things they said and the things they had said they would do. No one does. Here is to a fresh start after what seemed like a year or two of hell. Chin up, girl. You have many supporters!

All I got to say is this. Whatever you draw, as long as you're enjoying yourself-- I'll continue to be a fan. Good luck with what's ahead, Kayla.
