Believe it or not, I'm still alive! by Ikodo Moonstrife

Seeing as I haven't posted anything since August, and I happen to have a small sliver of free time during this spring break, I figured it was about time for an update, just to let the internet know I haven't vanished off the face of the planet.

As you all may have noticed graduate school has completely thrown all of my free time out the window. I barely have time to lurk and leave sparse comments, let alone make posts and indulge in my creative hobbies. However, I expected this when I signed up for a masters degree, so I have not been disappointed! That being said, grad school is going very well. Grades are good, my research is interesting, and if everything goes well, I'll be done by Christmas! And then.....oh ho ho.....and then, I'm gonna art, music, and write so hard! And do all the other things I haven't had time for! (like clean our house maybe?)

In other news, so long as grad school lets me, I will be attending RMFC in August!

    I struggle with the same issues. School has been killing nearly all of my free time for composition.
    Lucky you, your school is actually interessing ;-) I don't remember what master you are preparing though ...

    For my part, I am doing okay. Very excited about the viola I brought to my violin maker ; we worked a week on it, changing it from a chinese crap to an european traditionnal masterpiece ! :P
    I am also scoring for a couple of movies this year. Hopefully it will open the doors to a job in the composition... One can hope :P

      I am getting a Masters in Plant Science, and yes thankfully the research I'm doing is interesting to me, otherwise it wouldn't be worth all the stress.

      I'm glad to hear you are doing well, even though you may similarly have little free time. Scoring a couple of movies sounds really exciting though, best of luck on those! :)
