Got something to ask you guys out there.
As some of you may know, I'm kind of hurting for money right now. To put it mildly. As many of you may also know I've been doing a lot of co-hosting of streams lately, especially with my buddy . He (and a few others) have suggested that I consider streaming for tips.
Apparently people like listening to me talk for some odd reason or another. Which is good for me, because I love to ramble on incessantly about topics of interest to me. But would anybody out there reading this actually be interested in paying to hear that?
And what kind of streams would you like? Jonas and I have done a few movie streams where we kind of give the stuff we're watching the MST3K treatment, and those seem to be going over well. What about game streams? Or any other kind of streams?
I'm genuinely curious if this would be viable and I'd love to get as much feedback as I can. Every little bit would help right now. @_@
Thank you for any input you can give me, guys!
Since I never really tune into streams I'm not sure how great my input is, but, if I was GOING to watch a stream I'd be most likely to tune into an MST3k-like one : 3
(I have no idea how it works/if it's actually profitable or not but I know you can make & sell riffs through rifftrax.com; could be an idea if you are doing it anyway/you find that you really like doing it and people are interested. But again I have no knowledge on the actual logistics of that or if people tend to buy them or not, just a thought.)
I'm lonely and want company, but I also don't have a good internet deal and will be trying to get broadband in two weeks (hopefully less) I'd probably watch anything, but just now as I sip morning coffee. I wouldn't mind listening to music reviews like an internet radio giz, like 'Hipster, please' reviews Nerdcore music.
Answering this one late, I would not solicit tips anywhere it can be viewed. Remember, the MPAA is extremely jealous of their revenue streams, and will not tolerate it. I highly doubt anyone would report you for it, but that's not as issue; they have web scrapers and bots that look for such things. Tread very carefully on this one, and again, nowhere anyone can read it.

MST3K type streams sound really fun!
