is there a better alternate to skype by Abigaille
skype is a piece of shit. it never delivers certain contact's (particularly :azureionicon:'s) messages to me, i can't actually delete people from my skype lists (blocked people still show up on my skype home page) and apparently microsoft doesn't even want to work on fixing these errors. (i've googlefu'd and gone to their skype support forums and the >u>actual mods kept down voting and threads about this issue) they'd rather focus on putting more useless "new features" than putting out a fixed product.
i'm fukking done and i just, i need a better messenger guys. any recommendations

for a video chatting service with phone calling capabilities? No, Skype's not open source, so you can't get its source code, legally, if at all, so no, there aren't any alternatives to Skype, feature-wise. For just Instant Messaging, there's YIM, and AIM, which are okay, if you're having to use Skype for MSN/WLM, you can use a third-party client, I personally use PIdgin. But anyway, things that are like Skype but better, you won't find, i've looked myself ^^; but for video chatting via webcam, I know for a fact YIM has video calling capabilities.

yeah you may need to make it out get someone to make that... but steam, aim and yim work for IM stuffs!
