Commission TOS by crystalwhisker

BEFORE YOU COMMISSION ME, PLEASE TAKE A MOMENT TO READ THE FOLLOWING TERMS OF SERVICE
-upon receiving your commission and payment, I will assume you have read and accepted these terms-

  1. I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO REFUSE A COMMISSION FROM ANYONE, AT ANY TIME, FOR ANY REASON.
(most of the time, you'll know before you send payment whether I've accepted your commission. Other situations will be dealt with on an individual basis, should they arise)

  2. I DO NOT OFFER REFUNDS.
Sometimes it takes me a little while to complete commissions because I'm a full time culinary student and also have a part-time job, but rest assured that you will receive your art in due time.
Please feel free to contact me and inquire about progress, but please don't be pushy! Art is not my full time job, and pushy ungrateful rudeness doesn't really light a fire under my ass to finish your artwork. Thanks for understanding!

  3. COMMISSIONS ARE NOT ALWAYS COMPLETED IN ORDER.
I have a tendency to bounce from one commission to another to keep myself motivated and interested in drawing! Please be patient if you commissioned me and someone who is further down the list than you got their art first. I very likely haven't forgotten about yours, and I will certainly get to it in due time. Art is about inspiration and creativity and sometimes things just don't happen in the order they're meant to for various reasons. I normally try to stick to the list, but it doesn't always work out that way.

  4. COMPLEX CHARACTERS AND THINGS I HAVE A HARD TIME WITH WILL COST EXTRA.
Hate to be that way, but if it takes me an hour to draw something that would have taken me fifteen minutes because your character has this super special armor on his face that takes eons to draw.. It's gonna cost a little extra.

A few things that will automatically add this charge are as follows:

-Intricate markings/tribal markings
-Armor or large amounts of jewelry(earrings are totally okay though!)
-Wings, feathered or leathered.
-Humans because I suck at them
-Machines/Cars/Vehicles/Mechanical devices

[Please note that I reserve the right to add this charge based on what I feel merits it. I will inform you of any additional charges before I request payment]

THERE ARE ALSO A FEW THINGS I ABSOLUTELY WON'T DRAW -- A good way to find out if your picture falls into that category is simply to ask me. :3

COMMISSIONS FROM ME USUALLY WORK AS FOLLOWS:

[IN STREAM]

Comment in the stream and ask for a slot! Pretty simple, right?

I typically run specials in stream and I do a lot of Pay What You Want commissions! These PWYW commissions will be available ONLY IN STREAM, so if you're interested in not having set prices -- keep your eyes out for my stream submissions. ;3

If I'm doing a PWYW stream, I typically take donations before I doodle, simply because the quality of the picture is dependent on the size of your donation. It's not taboo or rude or tacky to tell me in stream what you paid me, if you should choose to do so. You may also notify me that payment has been sent and I can check to see myself! It's whatever you guys wanna do, I'm easy.

PLEASE
and this is a huge pet peeve of mine
If I'm having a PWYW stream, please don't just send me money and a note depicting the picture you want. I only have a certain amount of time to stream usually, and I -respectfully- request that you ask me for a slot in stream. I'll put your name on the list, and when I get to your drawing, I will request your donation.

I MAY OR MAY NOT GET TO EVERYONE, IT JUST DEPENDS.
Please don't get huffy with me if I don't get to your name and you were on the list. My PWYW queues are tentative and not in any way set in stone, so please be understanding of that before you ask for a slot. The majority of the time I do get to everyone, but sometimes things happen and I don't want anyone upset because they sat in stream for an hour waiting and I wasn't able to draw their doodle.

[GENERAL COMMISSIONS]

-Note me to secure a slot! You can check your status in the queue here: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/5094600/
PRICES CAN BE FOUND ON MY PAGE.

I will typically send a confirmation sketch to you if you are commissioning more than a sketch before I start work inking or coloring. By the time I've finished the sketch, payment must be made in full. Most people prefer to pay up front, and I prefer it that way as well.

I AM FLEXIBLE WITH PAYMENT, HOWEVER
I have even traded art for things on my Amazon wishlist from time to time. Please don't be afraid to ask for a trade or to work a payment plan out if that's what you have to offer. I'm a very understanding and friendly person, and I don't want anyone to feel like asking me for such a trade would be offensive. It's not, and I understand that everyone is different and in different situations.

Revisions can be made at this time, before I start inking. If you see something wrong at this point, please tell me so I can fix it in the sketch! I assure you, it's much harder to fix inks.

That being said, there is a limit to how picky you can reasonably be. I don't have a problem fixing a few details here and there if I've made a mistake, but if you start changing things around to where it's not even the same picture I've put time and effort into, that's not okay. I understand that this might just be your new favoritest picture and you want it to be just right, but you should let me know what you'd like to see in a picture BEFORE I start inking it. :3

Nagging and nitpicking makes me grumpy, and I'm not very polite when I get grumpy so let's try to avoid any conflict and communicate with each other, okay? Okay. :3

Your commission will normally be completed in order, but may not be in exact order, so please be patient!
If you commissioned me and you don't see your name on the list above, please note or email me.

-AFTER YOU HAVE YOUR SHINY NEW ART-

You may repost it, provided you link back to me.
You may color any inks or sketches I draw for you, provided you link back to me.
You may crop, cut, or edit the picture to use for icons or whatever tickles your fancy.

You MAY NOT resell art that I've done for you.
You MAY NOT post my art on any other site without credit to me.

The art itself technically belongs to me, but the characters and ideas therein belong to you. Just remember that you can post my art wherever and whenever you want, as long as you credit me. :3

If you are commissioning me, I am assuming that you have read(or at least skimmed) these terms and that you understand how things will work before I recieve payment. Please contact me if you have questions that aren't answered here!

Thank you everyone so very much for your love and patronage!

~Crystal
