I normally don't really like to plug things, except for maybe the occasional little film or something that I've run across and thought was worth sharing, but I'm making an exception this one time because I really, really want to see this project made a reality.

Some of you may have seen a trail floating around year or two ago for an animated film named "The Goon," based on the comics of the same name. Sadly, the film was never picked up and properly funded so it never came to fruition. They are now on Kistarter trying to raise enough money to put together a story-reel of the movie in order to go back to more major studios with a better presentation and look at the rough fil in order to try to get picked up for actual production into a real movie.

I so badly want to see this succeed not just because I think the movie looks like it could be awesome (which it totally does), but because if it succeeds and is a financial success it just might help open the doors for more animated films (besides certain anime) that aren't purely aimed at children! That would be huge in my opinion!

There are only a couple of days left for funding and it looks like it may be a very close call. So please take a look. I'd absolutely love it if more films like this were made and animation wasn't viewed by most of North America as simply something for little kids.

Edit: It reached it's funding goal, and a day or two earlier then it looked like it would. Awesome! Now I just really hope that the story reel this is for is enough to get the actual movie picked up, funded and made.
