I initially posted this on Dreamwidth, but I promised I'd get it up on here too. <3 Expect another journal in a bit so there's not a giant one on my frontpage. XD

SO. :D It's been almost two weeks since we ran our asses away from the northeast. XD I keep delaying this because I'm not exactly sure what goes into a con report, but I really, reeeeeeeeeeeeally need to get on this.

Also, we left on Tuesday and got to Flu's parents' house early Wednesday-ish. I'm mostly just gonna skip over that because "WE SAW HIS FAMILY AND ATE FOOD". :D

THURSDAY:

We didn't leave Flu's parents house until around two or three PM. XD Three-ish hour drive to get from there to Connecticut, but that's not too bad. I'm... kinda sure we stopped at Mc'Donald's on the way, but other than that, straight drive up. c:

Once we got to the con, we snagged our room. :D It was in my name, so getting in was pretty much easy, and we managed to beat our friends Shyanne and Cyrus there (they got pulled over for a speeding ticket. D:)Managed to get our things set up, meet up with them and distribute room keys, then we walked from the Super 8 down the street to the main hotel.

c: By the way, at night, Shy with his suit on, only half of it was a sidewalk. We go under a bridge, through a path that has some trees... It needed some Halloweeny decorations.

After that, we mostly just needed to wait for pre-registration to open. Didn't really see anyone else until later. XD After getting our badges, we hung around and looked for Shy's friends, Kar and Ares. They weren't getting their badges today because it'd take so long (we were early and done fast yay), so the six of us went back to the super 8 and ordered some pizza while playing Apples to Apples. :D

Which led to me winning the Fabulous card with Rainbows, among other things. I think I got Boring, too.

ALSO, A LOT OF TICKLING OCCURED HOLY CRAP EVERYONE BUT SHY WAS TICKLISH. And Cy, but he's not a babyfur, so no one really... tried? >3>

...AND THEN WE SLEPT. THE END.

FRIDAY:

We all agreed to go to IHOP in the morning for breakfast, after Kar, Ares, and Dubcub had registered. Once done, all seven of us went and HOLY CRAP WHY ARE THERE SO MANY PEOPLE. ;~; Half an hour wait, at least another hour to get food... I ended up missing the dance workshop (basically the one panel I wanted to go to that day XD). Instead, we went to the car show which... was basically ~styled~ cars just sitting in a lot... and we all left. XD We found another couple of friends from online, Sanchi and Xavi, along the way, so he joined the motley crew and we made our ways to the Dance Competition preliminaries~ <3

IF A CON HAS A DANCE COMP, GO. eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee~ Then again, I want to learn how to dance. XD

After that, uh... I don't know. XD It was mostly hang out in card room and attempt to play MTG day. We got a total of two games done, first game with four of us playing and second game with the same four plus two strangers who I have no idea who they are anymore playing. :D And talking about their eight planeswalkers in one deck while we just kinda dropped them (using a haste-rushing red deck yay~). I beat Flu on the last turn by hitting him for exactly how much life he has left. c: Else I would've died.

Following, everyone went to their separate rooms to get cleaned up, changed, etc. before heading to a babyfur meet 'n greet that Kar was trying to organize near the front lobby. :D There were a surprising number of babyfurs there, given that only the group of us had even been talking about going to the con. XD After a lot of talking, we all gathered up and whoever wanted to go tagged along to a nearby Chinese buffet (about ten of us in total).

A nearby... kinda overpriced buffet. :c It was $17 per person. Ones around here are less than $12 and the food was just as good, if not a bit below it. It was still good, but... not worth the price. D: So no more Imperial Buffet for us.

Once we got back to the con, everyone went their separate ways and the four main heroes retired to their quarters... for all of ten minutes before Kar called and asked to visit. XD Apparently there were several other people in his/Dub's room and he wanted to come stay with us instead (someone was sleeping in his bed). SO. ANOTHER NIGHT OF APPLES TO APPLES except Cy wasn't there and I don't know why... but we got a text from Sanchi who was just down the hall, so HE TOOK CY'S PLACE and it was six again. :D YAY.

I was initially going to go to the dance, but absolutely no one else wanted to stay with me. :c

So instead, pretty much EVERYONE (except Ares) got into footed sleepers and hung out and tickled and played Apples to Apples and I was passing out because I had nearly no caffeine and used a lot of energy and we weren't dancing, so all the pumping up for it I'd done had started running out. >3> Shy took a bunch of pictures, which are up on his FA page (I'm gonna link everyone at the end of this XD), though apparently a bit of diaper is showing in the main group pic for that night, so ehhhhh?

And seriously, I passed out. XD

SATURDAY:

...Was started off by Kar running into the air conditioner in our bedroom. XD Once everyone finally got up and going, they went back to their room to get cleaned up and everyone got ready to head out and eat breakfast. There's a semi-good restaurant in the con's main hotel that was doing a breakfast buffet, so we went there. c:

Once breakfast was done, everyone gathered together and there was a quick run over to Walmart... WITH Shy and Ares' suits. :D ...Except we weren't allowed to wear the heads. It was still pretty awesome, though, because everyone was curious about what the con was for and we were able to answer some questions. x3 ...The only bad thing was, as we were leaving, I noticed one of my old Chazzy badges was missing and we didn't want to stop to go find it. (Though it's kinda ok? Since he's retired as a 'sona and just a character now. >3>)

After that, we hit the dealer's den for a bit, and I got a little badger plushie. x3 I'm naming him Sebastian.

Then we went to the game room... where the pads were finally free for a bit, so I got to play some ITG (which had MGD files added on to it HOLY CRAP EEEEEEEEEEE~). Which was then followed by making EVERYBODY take a shot at it. And most people complaining about how they have no sense of rhythm and can't do it and watching me try songs on normal (because I have never played ITG before and holy hell hard mode no). :D

...Apparently everyone enjoyed watching me successfully use my hands for Hands points, too. >3> I don't think it's all that weird.

We also played a bit of Pop'n, but none of us had experience with that one. Maybe sometime in the future I can learn it. XD

Once all that was done, we got in line for the Masquerade. c: If you haven't been to one before, people in and out of costume perform acts, show off, etc. There was lots of singing, a comedian, a costume contest, and dancing... If it ever gets online, look up Furry Control because they're act was amazing and they deserved to win first place. c:

There was also a proposal on-stage. D'awwww. x3

Then the room got cleaned up for the dance competition. Oh my goooooood. <3 I'm feeling inspired to learn how to dance again because of this. c: AND. Kar may try to learn to dance as well, so maybe I'll have ~dancing buddy~ yay!

Once the comp ended, the actual dance started. YAY! ...I tried my best to get everyone going and Flu (who hates dancing) and Shy (who is a bit anxious in crowds) both tried a little bit. x3 Overall, though, we were worn out in about an hour or so and had to go. We DID get to play with some balloons on the dance floor, but Flu and Kar popped... two or three of them? on the ceiling. XD

So we left and went to try and get some ice cream. I forget where we were going first, but they ended up closed... I think it was Walmart. >3> Instead, we hit McDonald's again and got some Mcflurries. Eeeeeeee~ mint! ...But we also got pulled over because Kar accidentally ran a red light (there's waaay too many lights too close together I swear. XD) Thankfully he only got a warning. c:

We had ONE MORE NIGHT of hanging out and then Kar and Ares went to their room. We passed out... I was sore as freaking heck and all the dancing and ITG was finally catching up. ._.

SUNDAY:

I was sore. All day. THE END. (And was still sore by Wednesday AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA.)

No, but really. XD We started off slow because we had to pack up and evacuate the room. (Not literally evacuate... vacate? GET EVERYTHING OUT.) Checkout was at eleven AM, so I got everyone going by nine to make sure no one lost anything and we had ample time. c:

TO THE CON. We ate at the breakfast buffet again. XD I failed to make waffles right. :c

We went to the Dealer's Den again and this time, I snagged this shirt: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/8962840/ <3 While doing so, I was told that there were only two left in stock counting the one I got... and later told someone else about the last one, so I think I helped him sell out of shirts. :D

Once that was done, we went to the Fursuit games for a little bit... I was somehow the only fan for purple team, so when they asked for fans to come up during the first game, I got to ride on one of those push wheel things from elementary school. c: I think it's probably on video somewhere, but not sure. XD

We left that a bit early because Shy was going to leave. We took a big group photo and... I spotted Sanchi and Xavi just in time and dragged them into it as well. c: Again, it'll be on Shy's page. ...I look like an idiot, though. XD

Not much else happened after that. Some more ITG and just generally being around with Kar and Ares until we left. :c Which was kinda sad, but I managed to avoid crying this time. Yay! The sadder thing is we're not going back next year because it's just too far. XD But oh well, maybe some other time in the future.

I have this nagging feeling I missed something. XD
