I was a heavy metal fan from when I was a small child up until the mid-aughts. Part of this was that there was no clique or schism that I felt comfortable in. Maybe that's missing the whole point. Are fans of 60's minimalism as macho and shallow as I saw everybody else back then? Are there even "fans"?

I got interested in this, I thought it was good stuff - but obviously it's a pity that the scene didn't create more recordings. I think that there's no doubt that experimental music people are bigger freaks in random directions than heavy metal circles in the 2000s- so many dudes into heavy metal were defiantly aggro as the genre withered and also had more cheesy acts. My guess is that the endless pissing contest was a go back in the minimalist scene, but it was lukewarm and mellow piss.
