Can I just...change my zodiac sign? by BlueNire
Because mine is complete bullshit-opposite of me and my personality (Scorpio) and I wanna be a centaur (Sagittarius).
...
I wish I could just...do that..
Maybe I could be a Sagittarius "fan"..

I was a Taurus, apparently now I'm an Aires.-
:'3 According to that. I'd be Leo, which is the polar opposite of me. On the "old" signs, I'm Virgo, which sometimes is kinda "eh", but hits a lot of true points for me.

That only applies every 25,000 years when Earth is aligned at an axis where Ophiuchus is within the rotation of the Earth as well as using a different system to calculate the zodiac signs. So it really doesn't change anyone's sign now that the axis of the Earth is out of alignment for that constellation.

oh wow that's INTERESTING! I don't really believe in signs to be honest (mainly because the one I was "born with" is the complete opposite of who I am so I just....
I was just thinking it would be fun to pick a different one because It's sometimes fun to get things that represent something about yourself..

Maybe look at getting your chart read? you could have a lot of Sagittarius influence on your natal. I have a lot of Capricorn for being a Gemini.
I mean it is not a science as we understand them, but it can be interesting to see.-
Honestly? The more I look it up I AM a Cancer. ...that just fits me way way better...
I just know I am absolutely not a Scorpio- even though that is my sign :(

What about your ascendant? Maybe that is what influences your behavior more than the Scorpio? My sis is born Aries with Pisces ascendant. Her behavior is strongly influenced by the Pisces sign with just a little dash of Aries.

Sometimes you can be more like the sign before you out after you. I'm born under pieces but I am nothing like it. I am 100 percent Aries.

You have to take them with a grain of salt, really. I'm Saggitaurius and it fits me well, but I know a Scorpio who it fits only a little. But my kids are Virgo and Libra, they about half right. I love using them for guidance, but they're supposed to fit 7 billion people and have to be rather vague.

Same! If you read about your descending sign, it tends to be more of what you are like instead of your actual sign. Mine is Aries, but my descending sign is Capricorn (which would make more sense!).
