I have several lap warmers. Some of them stay still. Some will move way too much, others will cause me injuries. I am talking about the cats.

Percy is on my lap right now and he is making my legs fall asleep. I bring this up because I just noticed that Percy is the only one in the house that will mostly hold still and be comfortable on my lap no matter what position I am sitting in. Kassy is convinced that Percy is a Li Mao or as she is so excitedly exclaimed a Dragon Li. (but he is just a tabby cat.)

Colby won't stay in one place when he sits on your lap, he will decide that you are uncomfortable and move, he will meow, and whine, then try and nuzzle your hand so you only pet his face. He's also very heavy and makes your legs go into shock from weight. He will look at you from across the room and decide, hey you want ME on your lap... And will insist that he occupies your lap even if it is already being occupied with a plate of food or a key board. He also gets jealous if another cat is on your lap and will pout because of it.

Devlin is a rotten kitty, he's a Bengal and he decides if he wants to be on your lap or not and you should feel EXTREMELY honored that he even considered your lap as a place to rest his body on. With him there are RULES to having him in your lap. Rule number 1. You are not to move at all while I am on your lap. 2. You cannot pet any part of my body unless I deem you worthy of that. 3. Pettings of my face is good but if you stop; there are consequences 4. I will bite and/or scratch you if you do not follow rules 1, 2, and 3. He really Likes laying on me more than any other family member.

(Update: Our dog is still around and she gets treats and loves daily, she is slowing down again, but this is longer than predicted. She hasn't complained or whined about being in pain, but we still give her what the vet prescribed for her. She is still eating well so that is good.)
