So I logged into Weasyl this morning and upon seeing all the submissions on the front page I'm wondering if I'm just a tad out of place here.

Yes, my art is good, I'm not going to complain and go "I suck, no one favorites my work, Wah!"

However, I notice there is a slew of Anthropomorphic AKA "Furries" on the front page. The only one that looks almost completely human even has animal ears.

Now, don't get me wrong, I don't hate Furries. I have a lot of Anthropomorphic races in my writing but have never got around to designing them. Various creatures based on Bunnies or Lizards that have Anthropomorphic characteristics. (Meaning, they've got similar features to humans for those of you who don't actually understand the term Anthro.)

I don't have the time to flesh out such designs for my other characters ... but well ... I guess I kinda have to if I intend on including them in my comics at some point don't I?

From reading through the Weasyl website, I don't get the feeling this is supposed to be a strictly Furry site ... but yet I still feel out of place. I do know that everyone on here must be invited by someone else ... and I'm quite aware that I was invited by someone I watch on another art site, who draws Furries. I'm wondering if everyone is leaning toward inviting their furry friends and not artists of various talents.

I'd send out some invites myself ... but I have no clue who'd want to join up out of the people I watch. lol But, if you know any artists who don't draw solely Anthro characters, or don't draw any at all, but their art is good and they're friendly people ... send them an invite. It'd be nice to see a variety ... and also so I won't feel so out of place. Like being the only one at a vegan party with a hamburger ... lol
