mmaybe make a journal explaining how the wishlists work? for new people like me who have an idea but are still LOLWUT about everything, like.... idk if i know how it works but i think i do.

after that we encourage people to make wishlists and link back here with the wishlist?sorry it took so long to post to this journal, i've been wanting to since you posted it but i never had time or brain power til just now xD

That's okay, I've been having a hard time thinking, myself, hahah orz
But I don't really know how they work, either?? It was easy enough to set up the wishlist account at FA because there were already rules for the holiday wishlists, but this one is going to be year-round, so I really don't know how to organise it;;;;-
how about putting peoples birthdays up at the top of their wishlists?
so maybe we need to start on the rules/format of the wishlists?and maybe monthly there can be something like a drawing exchange where active members do a 'secret santa' type thing for other peoples wishlists.
we'd have to assign people so everyone gets something though or we can bet there'll be hurt feelings xD
but perhaps we'll keep those at sketches, idk yet.
make it Tier based cause i know art experience differs greatly and if we wanna keep it fair we're gonna have to keep everyone in the similar level areas.@n@ hope that helps? XD

I know it sounds bad xD but i've seen people get angry about how fair it is or isn't that they didn't get ermazering art.
maybe have them sign up for the different sections? like where they think they're at?-

Isn't there an art exchange of sorts in the works, anyway? Maybe we'll just be affiliates =w=;; because I can't deal with that.-

I guess sticking to the wishlists is a good idea, so just encouraging people to go check out wishlists and try to "grant a wish for someone" will be fine. That way the club isn't just forgotten about, and members can be reminded.
Maybe monthly journals. Weekly birthday lists for whose birthdays are coming up. Etc etc

I totally forgot to check back at this. VernonCross does bring up a good point of possible hurt feelings. Hrmmm... The idea of wishlist is to share some of your wishes. It is open to many things, as far as I understand. Someone may wish to have their character drawn, maybe someone else wishes for a car or something. People can donate to the person that needs money or suggest where they might find a good deal? Maybe this is just too general. Perhaps its aiming too high? :s

There are surprisingly generous people out there, but I get what you're saying.
Hmmmmm.
Maybe people should split their lists into an "I NEED THIS" list and an "I want to eventually get this" list.
Like, food, clothes, and shelter are important, but a car is not as much. If they're in a city, bus fare or even a bike would be better. If they're out in the country... maybe they could have a donation pool? But something like that should also be worked toward by the wisher.
I dunno, hahah.

For the mascot contest, we're thinking a minimum of ten entries for it to happen.
The species is "spirit" and last year we got two entries. I'll let them know to resubmit if they want.
