    I don't mean to be preachy, but try not to define it as "butthurt", a consistent pattern of over-simplifying your own emotions as a defensive response to people being shitty can lead very easily to downplaying your own personal worth and the importance of your feelings.

      I never thought of it that way. I've always been told I overreact to things, and that I get too "butthurt" and offended easily. I guess it's become a go-to for when I feel upset or something. Huh...
