MMmm.. by aschenlux

Idk I do feel the activity dying down over here, and as some have said, more activity on FA/DA.

I think a good idea to bring more people over here is to offer free art ( raffles, kiribans, etc )
As sad (?) as that sounds, majority of ppl flock for free things. So as much as we try to advertise this site and its features, people will still be hesitant unless you give them a reward of some kind u v u ;;;

I'd love to host something like that, but...

o1. Too shy to ask loads of artists to contribute
o2. I'm a bad host in general // wheezes

SO WELP. Thats JMHO.

    I noticed the dying activity too q__q it's sad because, tossing any reasoning of moving/staying aside, weasyl is SUCH a nice site and has so much to offer! I'm definitely game to join whatever hosting event will be planned! Sounds fun~

      This site does have a lot to offer, I'm sure with time, it will become even better. And I really do hope that I either gain the courage to host such an event, or find someone who will.

    I wouldn't mind offering some art. I came over here because a lot of my favorite artists were transitioning to this website, so I'd really be sad to see this website lose its activity. ; 7 ; //

      Same here! I followed a lot of my fave FA artists and finally gained the backbone to post art here. So I'd be hurt if this site is tossed away ;;
      And I appreciate the offer and support! If I gain the courage to host or find someone who will, I'll be sure to let you guys know <3

    I think it would be really beneficial if a bunch of us got together and tried to hold an event! I am unsure how to go about such a thing, though...
    Something fun and collaborative that would draw people to this site, y'know? Free art is always a plus, but, maybe something interactive? Hmm... I'm unsure, though. But I really do want to help this site grow!

      I think so too! Itd grab a lot of interest if there are loads of artists willing to draw for the "participants".
      I feel that way too, cuz even if we tell others to make an account to get free art, they'll probs just ditch it and only visit to see if they've won OTL ;;
      The only thing I can think of is a trial run, or something like that. Where we tell people to join, try out the site, and after a certain period of time, ask for their opinions and enter them in the raffle or w/e.

      BUT LOL THATS A LOT OF WORK AND I DOUBT PPL WOULD HAVE THE PATIENCE FOR THAT UNLESS THE PRIZE IS NOT ONLY WORTH IT BUT ALSO NUMEROUS PRIZES.
      ( Like one piece of art per winner. ) Aiee, stuff like this is tough, but I do share your feelings, I really want the site to grow too. ;; v ;; //

        I think that could be a good idea! It would require a lot of organization, though... I'm gonna make a journal to see about brainstorming ideas as well. Maybe making a thread in the forum would be beneficial to those who want to plan something out too?? : O

    I like the idea of a Artist collab contribution 'raffle' sorta thing c: I think a lot people just joined Weasyl during the drama since 'everyone was doing it' and are now just floating back to FA since things are [starting to?] die down.
    I'm not picking sides or dumping one site for the other, but Weasyl has some pretty awesome features [I also adore how small it is right now] so I'd love to join in on a collab event if you or someone else ends up hosting one in order to keep this site pumpin' and growin!
