I live in the panhandle, but this is still the sunshine state (note: ironic name, it rains here more than you'd think) and the schools and the naval base are shut down; it's supposed to snow. Now the official statement released from the base is that since you can't go anywhere in this town without crossing a bridge (water, water, everywhere, and not a drop to drink) they are worried about the roads icing over.

As of right now, it's freezing rain (literally) and not a flurry or single flake to be seen, but the old timers who got to see snow in '73 are having their laughs at my generation anyway. It's cool. I wouldn't mind seeing white on our shores one day... Even if it's not today.
