people stop missing the point of collections!! have you even read this?

that means stop uploading work not by you and instead ask the artist who uploaded it to send you a collection request!! also artists try to remember to send collection requests to people you draw for!!

    Although we have this system, users are still allowed to upload pieces made for them/that include them. However, we do encourage users to try the Collections feature.

    Some people want to upload the art of themselves, either because the artist doesn't respond to collection offers, they want the artist to get more publicity, or they prefer having their own copy in case of a gallery wipe/ so that they can have their own faves and comments to deal with, without having to manage it on someone else's picture. There are probably more reasons, but those are the ones I can come up with at the moment.

      i know that but that's not what the website is intended for ultimately. so collections are the way to go!

    I like the collections feature a lot! Took me a bit to understand it though.

    I never liked the idea of duplicate art myself, not because I don't want others uploading what I've done for them, but because of the clutter! This works much more nicely!

    Well for one it's an Optional Feature. It's up to the User who uploads them whether they want to use the Collection Feature or not. As long as the Artist gets their proper credit, really it's not that big a fuss to be fair so it REALLY is not worth stressing over.

    Second, and this is the case with my second and last upload (I don't enjoy using this site, and quite frankly I prefer fA) some people might want to upload art by an artist who isn't on Weasyl. As long as the artist is a-ok with their work being uploaded on another site it just isn't a problem to be fair.

    To repeat: Not worth stressing over. >.<
