LET'S TALK COLLECTIONS! And thank you...holy cowbells by betsy
My gosh guys thank you so much for all of the watches, comments, favorites, pageviews. Jumping jiminy I don't think I've EVER had a mass following/rewatch like this ...ever. I apparently surpassed 300 watchers and 1,000 pageviews waaayyy already. Now I'm on a bullet train to 500 follows...I'm like....wow. I was scared of leaving FA? Well I never! Thank you all.
I'm also realizing after yesterday that keeping up with several sites is insane! I will NEED to implement the mailing list sooner then later I guess and stop posting journal updates completely...and only post here nyuck nyuck.
But YES let's talk Collections!
What I'm going to do...as the task is overwhelming haha, is go through each commission/sketch stream and offer to the folks who commissioned them, however if you want to send a request do so via note with a think to the picture! This will be 10 times easier as at the moment I have 725 notifications as of this morning hahaha. I will not use notes for anything else, I still strongly urge e-mail for me :3

Yeah, I think the commissioner can take the effort to contact with the link, kinda puts simplicity and makes it easy. "oh, this person wants this pic. Just type their name, bam." Keeps from having to track down everyone.

Glad to hear the migration is going well! I've been putting in extra effort in the past few days to comment/follow/favorite because as a watcher/commissioner I want to prove to artists that Weasyl isn't a black hole. You can still get a following and (hopefully) a solid stream of business. I really want this site to succeed; even all the "drama" aside, it's just so much easier and more enjoyable to use. Amazing what you can accomplish when your dev team isn't constantly trying to back-stab itself.

I'm loving the collections feature. It's a great way for commissioners to share artwork they've purchased, while still making sure the artist gets exposure too!
