...Um. I go by John "The Gneech" Robey. For a while I was also known in furry circles as "RumblePurr" but that was many moons ago now.

I think of myself as "Gneech," to the point where if you call me "John" I might not realize you're talking to me at first.

Brick red, although the bits that are left are getting white streaks.

Blue-gray, depending on the light.

Married. ;) Beyond that, I'm interested in the person, not the plumbing.

What do you do in your spare time?

It's been so long since I had significant amounts that I barely remember. I was big into D&D and other tabletop RPGs once upon a time.

What's your job or occupation?

Writer, comic artist.

What do you like about yourself?

That's a really tough question to answer. In the words of Sirfox, I like to think I bring comfort to the disturbed, and disturb the comfortable.

What do you dislike about yourself?

Is there a wordcount limit on these posts? 'cause we could be here all day if I get started. Meh. I'm doing my best to improve.

What did your friends notice about you when they first met you?

"Hey, there's some guy standing over there." At least, that's what I'd assume, I've never really asked.

What is your belief/religion if you believe in anything at all?

Student of all, adherent to none. I'm largely a secular humanist, although some bits of Buddhism and Taoism have stuck to me.

Do you drink?

Once in a very great while. I tend to like desserty drinks, such as Bailey's Irish Cream or a grasshopper. I also drink mochas like they're going out of style.

Do you smoke?

Only secondhand. :P If cancer wasn't an issue, I'd love to smoke a pipe.

What are your major fears?

Incapacitation; death; being an asshole without realizing it.

Do you have any dreams or goals?

Pay my way with my writing and comics, move someplace I like better. Meet my Feb 7 deadline for the new comic. >.>

Yes, and yes. Seems a strange question.

Who's your best buddy?

Well, Mrs. Gneech is right up there, of course. ;) Not counting spouses, my current bestie is probably Inkblitzer, but I'm very fond of Sirfox, Vince Suzukawa, Graveyard Greg, lots of others.

What's your favorite dish?

Tough call, and it changes a lot. NY style pizza done right is probably my all-time fave, but I'm quite partial to boneless buffalo wings with ranch dip.

What's your favorite drink?

By volume I'd have to say it's mochas. I also like root beer.

What's your favorite color?

I like pretty much anything in the "sea green" to "deep purple" end of the spectrum, especially when blended together. But royal purple is the standout fave.

If you had a super power, what would it be?

For some reason, I've always been fascinated by clinging to surfaces a la Spider Man. The ability to stop, rewind, or fast-forward time would also be very handy.

What's your favorite movie?

Probably the 1980 Popeye movie w/ Robin Williams, although Big Trouble In Little China is a great one, too.

What's your least favorite food?

Okra in any form. Just thinking about it gives me the jibblies. jibbly jibbly

What's the last meal you want before you die?

One that takes a loooooong time to eat. >.>

What do you drive and what would you really like to drive?

I have a Nissan Murano, and it's a problematic car at best. I'd like to drive... something similar, but not as wonky.

What is your most disliked bug?

Probably those wasps in the Amazon that take over spiders and mind-control 'em. Just 'cause it's creepy. Really anything parasitic, tho. Eeeeew.

What pet peeves do you dislike the most?

People who just don't give a crap, not paying attention to what they're doing, not caring at all about their impact on the world and people around them, completely wrapped up in themselves. Summed up in Suburban Jungle by the "I me my me mine me" guy.

What do you dislike in life?

Besides "I me my me mine me" people? Rationalization. It's the single most damaging force in human history.
