Currently single.

What do you do in your spare time?

I attend and run cons. A substantial amount of my time between cons is spent writing code and doing sysadmin for said cons. (I run Anthrocon's website, for example.)

Outside of convention-related stuff, I like to write open source code and go to technology user groups in the Philly area. I'm also a fan of comic books and comic book universes and I've been working my way through the Justice League series on Netflix.

What's your job or occupation?

I'm a software engineer at a certain company that everyone reading this post has almost certainly heard of. My official job duties are... anti-spam in nature. We'll leave it at that. :-)

What do you like about yourself?

Well, I'm pretty good at picking up technology and understanding how complex systems work. I like to learn new stuff, and I do this on a regular basis. Then I make use of what I know, and make other parts of my life more efficient, so that I can learn more new things, and so on and so on. :-)

What do you dislike about yourself?

Insomnia. I'm a bit of a night owl (it's past midnight as I write this), and I wish I had an easier time falling asleep at night.

What did your friends notice about you when they first met you?

My amazing shaved head. Or if it was at a con, my White Mage hoodie which I like to wear around.

What is your belief/religion if you believe in anything at all?

I'm somewhere between agnostic and "slightly spiritual". I feel like the character Rufus in the movie Dogma who said that when religion was just "ideas", we were all better off. Now that it is codified, everyone in that religion has to confirm to a set of strict standards, and people aren't happy.

How this for a religion? "Don't be a dick to people around you."

Do you drink?

I like beer.

If you meet me in real life, you should buy me a beer.

Do you smoke?

Nope. I am not okay with the health consequences, both short-term and long-term. I strongly urge people not to smoke for precisely that reason.

What are your major fears?

Alzheimer's. Not how I want to go.

Do you have any dreams or goals?

Yes, but those are best kept to myself. I don't want to give away my plans. :-)

Have you ever had a crush or an ex?

But of course! I've dated a few people over the years, and some of those relationships have started with crushes.

Who's your best buddy?

Hmm, not sure I have one at the moment. My time seems to have been pretty evenly divided up among furry and non furry local friends, and people I see at conventions.

What's your favorite dish?

I'm a cat, so... Feeeeeeesh!

What's your favorite drink?

I like coffee.

What's your favorite color?

Blue.

If you had a super power, what would it be?

Not needing to sleep. I could learn a lot more things in those 8 hours a night, and hang out with a lot more people at conventions.

What's your favorite movie?

Ocean's Eleven is one of my favorites. A bunch of guys hang out in a hotel, drink and eat food, and get into trouble. Throw in some fursuiters and you got yourself a furry con right there.

What's your least favorite food?

Artichokes. What an evil food.

What's the last meal you want before you die?

If it's something wracking my body like cancer, a big glass of morphine. I would prefer to pass peacefully at a time of my own choosing with friends nearby, then in the middle of the night in pain.

What do you drive and what would you really like to drive?

Sold my car like 5 years ago. I take public transit everywhere now.

What is your most disliked bug?

ALL OF THEM.

What pet peeves do you dislike the most?

Seeing people destroy themselves by eating poorly. I have so many friends who are grossly overweight, and some of them are in their 30s and 40s and not having to deal with high cholesterol, have knee issues that require surgery, and type 2 diabetes. These things are mostly avoidable. Eat less. Stay away from processed foods as much as you can. Walk 10,000 steps a day.

Please, if you're overweight, see your doctor. Telling your doc "I want to lose weight" will put you in your doctor's good graces very quickly.
