  First thing I tried. It just makes a download link to the SWF. There's no embedded flash player.

    That might just be how it works. I checked some other animations on the site, their pages are all preview images with "View Shockwave Flash Animation" links. Clicking those works fine for me; my browser, at least, opens the animations in a tab rather than downloading them.
