What's your real name?
I have a lot of nicknames! Jem/Jenny/Jaye are all fine.

How tall are you?
roughly the size of four baby carrots stacked on top of one another (5'0")

What's your natural hair color?
Technically auburn I guess, there's hairs of every colour mixed in somehow? But most of them are reddish.

What's your eye color?
Dark brown.

What's your orientation?
I'm a lady that primarily likes other ladies or female-leaning/identifying people.

Are you single, taken or undecided?
I am not currently seeing anyone in particular.

What do you do in your spare time?
Aside from drawing, I like yoga/fitness, archery, exploring, reading comics, video games, collecting and trading, and studying various subjects of interest, like sexual education and Greek mythology.

What's your job or occupation?
I work for Disney. Apparently some of you thought it was in an art context but it's actually a guest services role! So mostly service recovery and a little bit of sales and general assistance. I'm working towards being a tour guide for Walt Disney World, though.

What do you like about yourself?
I'm more confident and put together than most people. I'm level-headed and know how to handle stressful situations. I think things through rationally but still take my emotions into consideration. I'm good at reading people and extremely good at communication. I have awesome hair. I'm flexible and fairly reliable.

What do you dislike about yourself?
Sometimes I am too nice to people who don't deserve it. It also takes me a while to warm up to and trust people on a level past casual friendship. I also dwell a lot on past mistakes and will constantly remind myself of them and purposely stress myself out for no reason.

What did your friends notice about you when they first met you?
Most people remark on my height or my undercut.

What is your belief/religion if you believe in anything at all?
Religion is of no real importance to me and I tend to forget it exists.

Do you drink?
No. I have maybe five drinks in an entire year, tops, and most of those are just tastes. I'm not into alcohol or alcohol culture at all and am completely uncharmed by drunk people.

Do you smoke?
I used to smoke flavoured mini cigars but I don't anymore.

What are your major fears?
I can't swim, so probably drowning? I'm terrified of getting close to people and then losing them.

Do you have any dreams or goals?
I have ambitions but nothing really long-term? I just want happiness in whatever way it finds me. Also I want the entire Xena: Warrior Princess DVD box set.

Have you ever had a crush or an ex?
Haha plenty of both...

Who's your best buddy?
rooibos, nettle, and tent, as well as my roommates flir and cubi!

What's your favorite dish?
I'm honestly not sure, but a holiday turkey sandwich from Earl of Sandwich makes me happier than any other food, so maybe that?

What's your favorite drink?
I like water, tea, and coffee the most.

What's your favorite color?
Yellow probably. I also really like pretty much any pink, and purple.

If you had a super power, what would it be?
Idk!! Teleporting would be pretty cool.

What's your favorite movie?
Heathers and Kiki's Delivery Service! And currently, Frozen, haha.

What's your least favorite food?
Mustard??? More of an ingredient than a food but whatever, I can't stand it.

What's the last meal you want before you die?
Probably a holiday turkey sandwich...

What do you drive and what would you really like to drive?
I have a bright teal Chevy Aveo5. I know a fair amount about cars but I'm not really a car person, and I do like mine. But if I could drive anything regularly out on the road I guess something ridiculous like an ice cream truck with a giant Popsicle on it.

What is your most disliked bug?
Pest bugs, like bedbugs and fruit flies and termites.

What pet peeves do you dislike the most?
People who drop trash on the ground and people who don't knock. Rudeness and a lack of consideration for others, basically.

What do you dislike in life?
People who feel as though they are entitled to anything for no reason. Trying to help someone and being ignored in favor of being helped by a male or masculine individual. The fact that there's not an Amazon nation I can join. The fact that this is the last question??? Why would you end a meme/survey on such a sour note???

I'm adding my own last question to make myself happy.

What are some things that make you happy or that you enjoy thinking about?
Cavalier puppies, donkeys, witches, lesbian media, pinatas, volcanoes, math, helping people and making their day, art, crocodiles, fireworks, ice cream, feminism, archery, roller derby, Greek mythology, cute beetles, and my cat!

    AGREED.

Wow who the hell is this tent jerk

    • Link

      idk some asshole

  • Link

Very interesting! But I am curious as to why you dislike someone getting help from someone who is specifically a male/masculine person rather than you? I ate mustard too, even the smell makes me reel. :C

    • Link

      *hate, haha

    • Link

I was thinking about it because it happened today, but it pretty much happens every day. If a guest approaches looking confused, I'm usually the first to step forward and say "Hi!" and offer to help, but if there's a male coworker next to me, about nine times out of ten the guest will turn to my male coworker to ask the question (especially if the guest is also male).

A lot of times if I can't help someone or do something they're asking me to do because it would go against policy, they don't believe me until they are told the same thing by a male coworker.

I also know how to change a tire and have stopped on the side of the road to offer to help motorists change their tires if they have flats/blowouts/etc and I can't count the number of times I've been told, "that's okay, I'd rather be helped by a man that's used to doing this."

So it's not that I dislike the male helping them over me helping them, I dislike that they prefer to get their help from a man after I have already willingly offered, because they assume I'm less competent in some way.

      • Link

Ooooh that makes more sense, I thought you just did not like males/masculine people helping others instead of you, it got me confused XD Tbh that would piss me off too, though a lot of people think I am an idiot, so they ask an open question, I answer, they turn to someone else and ask them, they give the same answer and then I get to look at them all smug~

What kind of tea, if I may ask?

    • Link

I grew up on sun-brewed black tea (heavily sweetened, since I'm from the South), and iced sweet tea is still my favourite. I love brewed hot teas though, especially fruity black teas (blackcurrant and pomegranate), and also red teas like rooibos! The only tea I'm not super fond of is green, it has to be really sweet and fruity for me to like it.

      • Link

Ahhh, a dagger! I love green teas, and bitter ones as well. Ohhh and dragon pearl jasmine, definitely worth a try.

  • Link

The first thing I noticed about you was definitely height. And then I couldn't figure out if your tights were like full leg tattoos or what (if full arm tattoos are sleeves, are leg tattoos pants? Pantleg is a little too cumbersome.)

Also one time in Italy I saw a Cavalier spaniel taking himself for a walk on some stairs. That's not really relevant to anything but it was such a funny image that years later it is still with me and everytime I see Andry I think about it.

    • Link

Those tights!!! I forgot about those haha, I haven't worn them in forever. They're really fun to wear though, everyone is always confused by em.

Cavaliers are such precious and goofy dogs and I wish I could have seen this Italian spaniel walk himself!! When I was in Italy I mostly saw like a thousand stray dogs in Pompeii but not really anywhere else.

      • Link

I actually didn't see many dogs at all while I was abroad, which is probably why this one stuck out to me. Thinking about it, most of the times I've been abroad I haven't seen ANY animals at all.

My parents went to Greece for a month awhile ago, tho, and came back with thousands of pictures of cats. Just.. cats hanging out outside, them petting the cats, them feeding the cats, etc. I guess I'm going to the wrong places.

        • Link

I've always really wanted to visit Greece and now I REALLY REALLY want to visit Greece. For the Greek cats.

  • Link

Primarily ladies? I always thought it was exclusively ladies!

    • Link

Trying to explain further usually results in someone being somehow offended by my sexual preferences (which is kind of a gross kind of offended to be) but really I'm just not interested in most cis men. So I have a strong preference for women of any type but also like trans men, nonbinary people, and very, very few cis men.

      • Link

It IS kind of gross to be offended by someone's sexual preferences. People get judgmental over the stupidest shit. It's like being offended by someone not liking a particular flavor of ice cream.

ANYWAY your explanation makes sense and I hope you didn't mind giving it! I was just curious because I had been pretty sure up until this point that you were all about the ladies.

  • Link

HIGH FIVE BECAUSE I CAN'T SWIM EITHER. we can keep each other company in the kiddie pool

  • Link

    I like your answers!

"I have ambitions but nothing really long-term? I just want happiness in whatever way it finds me. "

    HELL YEAH

  • Link

Yay for confusing hair color and disliking drunkards! :D

Also, I find it amusing two of your top friends are named Rooibos and Nettle... those are the two kinds of tea I drink. I've developed a taste for looseleaf nettle tea, although there's a disappointing lack of rooibos looseleaf where I shop at, only tea bags.

  • Link

You tootin' around in an ice cream truck is a wonderful image now in my head, thank you.

Yoga! I love yoga even if I'm not terribly good at it.

And the trash thing is a huge peeve of mine and I don't know how it didn't pop into my head when I filled mine out. I'll never understand how people are unable to hang on to their garbage long enough to put it in a trashcan somewhere.

People tend to notice my height first thing too hahaha

I thought the bit about alcohol was interesting considering the first year or two i got to know you! I think it's pretty rad you've cut it out c: Aside from it being healthier to take it out it's probably also good for the wallet haha. Also, now that I know, I will do my best to be considerate whenever i run into at conventions!

This was a very interesting read :3!
