so yeah. i spent around $100 or so dollars to make my costume as epic as possible for the costume contest at the local bar last night.

i lost to a Halo spartan (which was fine, he deserved it because he made an AMAZING costume), a chick wearing panties and a tanktop covered in balloons (she was apparently a bubble bath -.-) and like, a million other people that barely dressed up.

how it worked was, you just chilled out at this party and there were "mystery judges" that walked around. the judges were the bar owners.

so, of course, i'd lose. i was an undead werewolf creature. but i guess the real thorn in the side was after they announced all the winners, they gave money to MORE people. basically, they called up everyone on the stage who was wearing a costume and before i could even make it UP there, they gave the money to someone dressed as Mitt Romney and someone wearing a captain America sweater -.-

so yeah.. a little miffed. even my boyfriend was pissed off on HOW they judged it, not so much that i lost.

ah well. i know better now.
