I'm very happy to be here! I hope to be an active member of this website and that it continues to grow and be successful. With that said, I want to also encourage the sciences and biology, so here's a fun little factoid... the entire scientific classification of the Human Species! Ironically, the term "Human" is not part of the scientific classification.

Eukarya - Human cells have nuclei.
Animalia - To summarize, humans do not produce their own food, are not plants, fungus, or bacteria.
Chordata - Humans have a back bone!
Mammalia - Humans produce live young (outside of an egg), grow hair, and have milk glands used to feed young.
Primates - Humans have opposable thumbs.
Hominidae - Humans walk/stand in an upright position.
Homo - This genus comprises modern day humans and all related variations of them from the past, such as Neanderthals.
Sapien (sapien) - Humans are sapient. This means wise, sentient, and self-aware.
