FA is a fascinating case study in... by Migizi

willful ignorance.

I finally caught up on the issues there and watching some conversations go on and just...wow. Way to tell people who are survivors of sexual assault that their opinions aren't "needed" in this situation because they are too "emotionally involved".

I.

Okay.

FA is a fascinating case study in...

I came over here actually due to the Project Phoenix announcement on the coattails of hearing how the first team of developers working on a new FA layout was "forgotten" about. The decade of site update promised with that announcement on top was just the straw the broke the camels back for me.

The rest of the Drama(tm) that has tagged along with this is quite something to.

I kinda hate the way the word 'drama' is used in situations like this. This isn't drama. This is conflict, genuine issues considering people's health and safety. :x

I agree, though I was using it a bit facetiously prior, heh

Not to start an argument with you or about your comment, but I have to agree with LD.
You see, one of the biggest problems with the current situation over there (if not the biggest) is that people keep calling the normal, healthy concerns people have on the subject 'drama'. In truth, the 'drama' in the situation is that people are throwing these huge fits about people legitimately getting upset with the guy-in-question's conduct, or possible conduct due to his shady reputation. What really blew it out of proportion is all the backlash people had when the concerned parties were just trying to leave.
          You get me? ;)

I did not mean to belittle people's concerns, as I share them. I just wanted to share that I'd chosen to put distance between myself and FA due to reasons other than the fact Zuash is now on staff and in a position of power scenario. That said, that fact certainly helps reinforce the decision though.

No, I totally understand, and I'm not calling you out for using the word 'drama,' since it was already done, it's just that I was ensuring you that I'm not the only person that felt the same as LD on the subject. ;)

Let's just do that, put distance between us and FA, and start anew. <3

I don't know much about coding, but I do get incompetence, and the complaints were legitimate….and then they went onto the horrid actions of said admin member. Then they did "rumour control" or so they're calling it now (aka, censoring the entire damn site. What were they expecting? No one to talk?).

      It's just a mess, ugu.

Yeah. I left because my friend was being harrassed online and off by some pervert. I just cant stay on a site that lets ladies get sexually harrassed and tells them to shut up about it. Its trully sick. Also finding out that some of the admins have done disgusting things to both humans and animals. I just cant.

The majority of furries, being male, just don't seem to give a damn about women and they prove it over and over again despite getting on a grandstand about 'being a good guy'. It'd be laughable if it didn't have such serious consequences.

I'M JUST SO GLAD I CAN FINALLY FAVORITE JOURNALS.
But yes, FA can be a real dumpster in that way.

FA has been pretty shitty. The only reason I can't leave it is because it's my source of income.
The more I find out about those guys the more sick I feel and want to leave (and puke, seriously), but its like 'shit, it ain't easy getting people to move over and commssion me' so it sucks :/
