IMPORTANT MFF INFO POST INCOMING by irisjaycomics

IAN JAY NEWS: I’m going to MFF this year?! I am going to MFF this year. Like SPX, it was a seat-of-the-pants sort of thing, but the planets aligned and things worked out. I’ll be in Midwest Furfest’s Artist Alley from Friday to Sunday, hocking my usual wares.

AMONG THINGS YOU CAN EXPECT ME TO BE SELLING:

-IAN JAY SUPER COMICS VOL. 1: THE BOOK. These are the very last few copies of my latest print run, and if they sell out in Chicago it’s unlikely I’ll be able to get them back in stock for a while. BUY WHILE YOU CAN.

-STICKERS AND BUTTONS. Duh.

-MINICOMICS. Among things I’ll be reprinting are the Epiphany Chapter 3 preview I showed off at SPX and a new edition of Nascar Shoes (which I HOPE you’ll take a chance on buying, what with the festive holiday season almost upon us). I MIGHT reprint the Power Animal VHS copies if I find the time and money, but even then they take up a lot of room in my luggage, so don’t bet the farm on it.

-COMMISSIONS. I’ll be selling my usual spread of commissions and badges, plus a BRAND NEW AS---YET-UNANNOUNCED badge style that I will reveal here later next week!

-FREE TRIVIA QUIZZES. Maybe. They didn’t go too well at SPX, but they went pretty well at Otakon. I might try to refine them a little more.

IN ADDITION, if you want to be wearing a fresh Ian Jay badge THE VERY MINUTE YOU STEP INSIDE THE HOTEL, or if you’re just not going to MFF but still want to feel like you’re participating, IAN JAY COMMISSIONS are still open! I’m still offering Glitch Badge con pre-order commissions for $20 each, as well as Hi-C, Gilded and Long badges for $25, $30 and $35 each, respectively. I only have seven slots left on my commission roster, so if you want some awesome art, ACT NOW by sending me a private message on this site or by dropping me a line at ianjaycommissions at gmail dot com. I’m trying to raise some money to defray airfare and hotel costs, so every little bit is completely appreciated.

Are you going? Looking forward to meeting anyone or seeing any events? Got any good restaurant suggestions? (Because man, we really couldn’t find anything decent to eat around the hotel last year.) Let’s make this year’s MFF one Chicago will never forget… no matter how much it so desperately wants to.

I'm sure I'll see you around the con! God when it comes to restaurants good luck lol, there's literally just the bare bones of 24-hour fast food in the area for when you're REALLY desperate. Within driving distance there was a really nice tavern type place we ate at up the road, I think it was called Ram Restaurant... basically finding food in that area is pretty shitty even if you DO have a car, haha. So GOOD LUCK. SURVIVOR: CON EDITION.

Yeah seriously! It's a great hotel but man, do they have shit-all for eats in the area. I remember going to the Dunkin Donuts inside the train station for breakfast EVERY DAY last year, just because there weren't really any other options (besides four-dollar stale-ass bagels in the hotel gift shop, i guess).

Some day some enterprising furry type is gonna drag a hot dog cart to every convention they visit, and they'll make MILLIONS.
