Music really helps me focus whenever I'm drawing or sketching and is a nice source of inspiration for me.
Recently I've been listening to the same few things over and over again so I wanna listen to some new stuff to refresh my palate a bit.
Ahhh my tastes are pretty eclectic but some of the recent stuff I've had on replay are by :
Stromae, Woodkid, Arctic Monkeys, Kanye West, Stars, the entire Fallout 3 soundtrack (pfft), Cocorosie, Beirut, Janelle Monae, Marina and the Diamonds (always), The Maccabees (also always), Gorillaz (always x 3), CAPSULE, a bunch a japanese songs in general
and a bunch of instrumentals from the Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows soundtrack
(I'm a sucker for fast paced violins in general ayyy)
woopwoop but yup you don't have to know any of the above to rec something since that's just a small portion of the stuff I listen to <3 <3
Edit; omg thanks so much everyone!! I have so much new music to listen to now just bless you are all awesome /smooches all over the place/ ;v; <3 <3

You'd probably like Lindsey Stirling, with her violin and her dancing while she plays. ;v; She has a lot of original music and some game medleys and other fun things. I haven't listened to a song she's posted on her youtube channel and not absolutely loved it. <3
You mentioned Japanese songs and I thought of this -https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZM0ZY86fG6c I love this guy's voice. ;v; A bit random but it's a nice song and very fast paced.
I usually hear some really random music, here are some examples <3
Good old NIN
Disparition
Freshly Squeezed
Tallulah Goodtimes
Räfven
Mouldy Soul
Solipsism
_ghost
EnV
Yoshida Brothers
Owen Pallett!! He's friends with Beirut and plays the violin! Well, I recommend him to everybody LMAo uh....
http://www.owenpalletteternal.com/#videos
His "Heartland" album is the best. His lyrics are really visual and have a mythological lean.
Here are some more artists (plus links) I haven't seen anybody else mention already...
Galileo Galilei -- Japanese band, a lot of guitar, so relaxing!!
Shugo Tokumaru -- Japanese artist, really positive/uplifting vibes!
Vanessa Carlton -- all of her albums sound different, but "Rabbits on the Run" contains her best work imo.
Fenech-Soler -- predictable pop, the lyrics and videos are so stylish.
Radical Face -- cinematic indie folk-type stuff (his website hasn't been updated in a while, he has a new album out now).
The Oh Hellos -- the subject matter is faith-based but their instrumentation is wonderful.
Born Gold -- darkly visceral and electronic!
And Suisei no Gargantia's OST is really solid. Lotsa brass and sweeping strings!!
Seconding Born Gold, there stuff is amazing!
Also, anything by Caravan Palace is great! Some examples:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t3AoWDM8uLk
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KKZW_7XHnWg
Anything off the Repo! The Genetic Opera soundtrack is great too- it's rock though!
Two Door Cinema club is pretty neat as well-http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hfagq4Ca8qo
PVT is a great band as well, I'm not really sure how you describe them!-http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xB29CI1a704
And Futura by Battles is literally perfect to listen to while drawing. Really inspiring, and it's all instrumental-http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j-rvJsH_WcU
Oh, and Cow Parade Cow are pretty good too! A bit strange, but catchy :) -http://cowparadecow.bandcamp.com/track/lease-the-sunset-sell-the-coast
