something the site should work on by HAZARD
not being able to delete or remove comments is really annoying XD I have accidentally replied to myself a few times when I first started and have no way of removing or hiding them. This is something that needs to change I think.
I haven't gotten very far in my moving of the gallery....I decided to move as much as I could....this will take awhile ><
also....how do you get avatar to show up in the description? like how FA did with :usernameicon:

Markdown takes a bit of getting used to, but in general it's more standardized, streamlined, and reliable than bbcode (what FA uses). It is also easier for people to read, which means users in general will have fewer formatting errors. That's probably why Weasyl switched from bbcode - which it had initially, if I remember correctly - to markdown.
Also worth noting that formatting is wonky right now because the admins disabled some of the Markdown functionality while they work on other site performance issues, so it'll be back to normal later. :)

Yeeeeeah, being able to at least hide comments would be a nice thing to have. x3;; I haven't had to need to do that yet, but it would be a nice option for reasons like this. laugh For the moment though, I think you can PM a mod to delete the comments you need deleted right now?
Though I can help with the avatar icon thing! You can make avatar icons show up by using this Markdown format, no spaces:

And if you want to link to a user without the icon, you just take the exclaimation point off the front. :3

From what I've seen, the staff are fairly responsive to critique and request. Hiding / deleting comments is on their list of common suggestions already; maybe you could +1 it. :3

being able to hide comments would be -great- and I'm still having some trouble figuring out the coding, someone already beat me to the icons tutorial but that took me a while to get used to, too....

And I thin the markdown system for linking and avatars etc is a bit confusing, but I've gotten the hang of it finally lmao
