Weazin' by artdecade

Just want to say thanks for the great welcome and all the watches here! It's nice to have a fresh start with a new gallery and everything!

I remember when FA first started (yeah i actually remember that) one of the things that really got the whole community momentum going was being talkative and active and just trying to do lots of fun stuff with each other. With a leaner watch list and better interface, i'm really going to try to make time for that here. I really like this recent influx of people's motives for coming here. It's such a good foundation to start building connections and community from.

I don't plan to really use the friends feature on here, but I'm also only accepting friend requests from people who i've actually had some kinds of dealings with on an extended scale. Please don't feel bad if i don't accept your request, it's simply because i don't know you that well!

        Hehe, thank you! I dont post as much as Id like to anymore because of time reasons unfortunately, being in school most of the day on their days, working till late at night, dont get as much time as I wish to cook anymore :c

    I think I know what you mean about that fresh community feeling, it seems like more artists are eager to leave comments on here than on FA. I guess that site's just become so saturated that it's hard to care about what gets posted there as much.

      yeh i used to try to comment on everything i faved but somewhere along the line i stopped doing that. there's a lot going on here right now with everyone starting their galleries, so it's a little overwhelming, but after that i'm sure i'll chatter more

      i'm also loving all the amazing new artist here!
      i can't completely divorce myself from FA yet, i mean i have like thousands of watchers and there and i need them, but i am going instead be posting cropped previews there, and linking them to the full versions here on weasyl and tumblr, etc ;)

        Understandable!! A lot of artists are leaving a "foot in the door" because of these reasons. I'll probably do the same because I know I have some clientele there, but I don't think I'll be posting to FA anymore. Or at least I'll do the same as you are. I've already seen several artists do it. x3

    Totally agree, I've been trying to ramp up my comments on any of the galleries I frequent, and with the 10k+ new accounts that have emerged over the last few days, I think there will be a lot more opportunities for quality back-and-forths over quality art.

    I love the fact that there is a "please critique this" feature on this site, too. <3
