WOW FA.... by Raiku
This was 2010/'11 all over again, but turned up a few dials. REALLY not surprised though. I mean, the owner saw a guy admitted he had sex with his dog, noted him to take the pictures down and keep quiet about it so his BFF won't have people pointing at him and saying "wait he's breaking the ToS and AUP, why isn't he banned?", gave him a job as an administrator, then years later, "fires" him and lets him return under a sock puppet account so no one would send questions of "wait that animal abuser is not only still around, but is an admin still?!". And that was a problem long before the Zee-word came to be a known problem. The site is just going to get worse and worse. Eventually that shit wagon is going to buckle under the pile it's carrying.
Now to update on why I haven't been updating. .....really I'm sucking with my start of the year in making things. TF2 got in the way after the computer upgrade, got sick for a week, and this past week I've either been lazy or not in the mood to finish the stuff I have going on (I would say I have computer issues too, but when DON'T I have any?). My latest-latest deadline in getting updated refs is March. I need to update Weasyl with a new icon and banner (not the same as submissions, but hey, it's productivity!). For now, I'm just gonna catch up on some things and pop some pills to get this migraine down~

That's because a lot of the people working on this place were folks who were tired of FA years ago, and really didn't want to go back to deviantArt, so they figured to make their own art haven ^^ This has been my favorite place so far~

Yeah, I'm glad to be away from that. They don't even consider how it makes them look to the community and even to people outside of the fandom if they were to find out all of that.
I cannot deal with rape appologists and misogynists, it's just not right at all. Lots of people have endured things like that too, no-one knows the whole story but it's really upsetting to see this having endured things like that. It's really not good. They're so far away from professional right now.
When FA was down Dragoneer had a go at Weasyl staff for supposedly trying to "steal" people from his site when he found a feature they'd had since the opening on the site. It's really sad.

It's sad.... But this IS the fandom's fault. Too many years went by ignoring the cruddy people. "It's not my business/how does this effect me or you". Now that the fandom is splitting and leaving the fandom rot on FA, it's just getting to me too much. I can honestly side with the people who say "I have a furry character, draw furry stuff, go to furry sites and conventions and want a fursuit, but I'm not a furry nor a part of the community". It's so damn depressing...
It's bad when people tried to say things like "I need PHYSICAL evidence" when the shit is posted in the open for all to see...they aren't READING the words that are provided. But it's worse when I find people making shitty comments like:
"she DID say no, but that one yes erases what was said and means she gave consent"
"just another case of a woman regretting having sex and wanting money/fame from it"
"GUH I hate women...they are seriously retarded and have messed up big this time"....I fucking can't..... "But Zaush wasn't convicted so it never happened!" Years ago I stole some money so that me and my mom wouldn't go homeless, as we didn't want to live that life again. No proof, no record, so that didn't happen right? My father has done some HORRIBLE shit to me and my mom for the first third of my life. But all those charges of abuse and attempted murder didn't stick as he was the judge's friend and he walked. FUCKING GUESS ALL MY ISSUES AND ABUSIVE PAST SHOULDN'T BE AROUND SINCE NO CONVICTION/DIDN'T HAPPEN HUH. I wish I could train myself to projectile vomit at will, just so if I ever go to a furry convention and someone tries to blatantly suck Zaush's/Dragoneer's e-cock and say how all this that's happened was "drama", I could fucking hoark on them in disgust. "where's the proof?" How about with what Zaush had said? How about Dragoneer admitting that it happened AND to his own girlfriend (yes Zaush pressured Sciggles into having sex but 'Neer doesn't see that as rape, just "not kosher"), and the fact Dragoneer shut the site down for a day or so and purged two weeks worth of comments and journals while suspending/banning people in December? What about the already known track record of Zaush and the journals being pointed out on Live Journal a whole year before the notes leak and showing he's such a fucking jerk that tells gals to break up with their boyfriends and they should have sex with him? Oh shit, I guess doing the research and looking at what is said and done doesn't work~ IF ONLY SHERLOCK HOLMES OR BLUES CLUES WAS HERE TO FIND THE REAL EVIDENCE. sighs
Hahahaha yeah I remember that....I posted the screen caps of when he joked that his own broke-ass site was down ("This tweet is in read-only mode"), but when he learned of a tool that has been around for like a year or two, he gets all pissy and is like "it's named FENDER BENDER that's kicking us when we're down"......uuuugh I don't want anything to do with that site anymore.

FA makes the worse decisions in the name of friends. If they did the right thing with both of these terrible people none of this would be an issue.Wow, it feels really nice to be able to actually talk about this without fearing being silenced~

The guy's account on FA was something like chasevrocket. He openly admitted to having sex with dogs and posted a picture that was a collage of all the stuff he was interested in, and one of the pics in there was a real photograph of dog genitals (like, hanging out there and everything). 'Neer noted him asking to keep it to himself and to remove the photo, then some time later was put on the FA admin board. At some point, yeah, people had enough of him for not only what he's done, but his abuse in power, so 'Neer "fired him" and had him use a sock puppet account so the public wouldn't know anything. It's fucking...ugh. The people who run the site and defend it....Took forever, but I understand the whole "I have a furry character, go to furry sites and conventions, but I am not a furry" thing. They really don't want to be assosiated with the fandom even though they have the same interest as the fandom. I never understood, but I guess I just didn't realize how bad the fandom rot had become over the years =/ a ton of people were so quiet over things, and are now coming out and showing their real selves. And it's just...too much.
TF2 takes all the time =< But I want to be good at it. I used to be alright, but ironically the computer upgrade made all my timing go to hell so I went from decent to newbie all over again XD

It's actually saddening me because a lot of people are feeling this way. Hell I was feeling that way on Saturday. This thing has gotten to the point where it's causing a rift in the fandom. At least with Weasyl I am actually feeling a bit better. It feels fresh and new and just.... GOOD.

I wasn't in the state of "fuck me I'm quitting the fandom" until the weekend. Like, christ....I knew Zaush getting staff/admin/coder job would piss people off, but seeing the mysoginists and rape apologists come out the woodworks.... It's like the fandom has divided into what the fandom used to be, and something that resembles what the brony fandom has. WHY CAN'T OUR FANDOM BE NICE LIKE THE ARTHUR FANDOM. EVEN REGULAR EROTIC CARTOONS AND BDSM AND BODY MODS AND OTHER STUFFS KNOW TO KICK SHITTY PEOPLE OUT WHY CAN'T WE AAAARGH.

We live in a day and age were popularity and money grants you immunity. Kid drunk drives and runs people over? Gets out because they are too sheltered to know better~ Pedophiles, dog abusers, and rapists on FA? Well cover their shit as they're big-name artists and are fucking popufur. Then again this is the fandom that sees scammers, liars, cheats, and death-fakers and will forgive them a year later and go "this was ancient history and the fandom shouldn't just kick these people out~". FUCK THIS FANDOM AAARGH. I'm officially in my own furry fandom now. It's a sect that isn't tied to the main fandom and the members list is very low and close so I know there aren't any people contributing to fandom rot.
