Help! I'm stupid and I can't figure it out! by metalmilitiaman

So I want to link my friend's Weasyl account in one of my posts, but Weasyl doesn't follow the same code as FA. Someone wanna point me in the right direction? I know it can be done!

Weasyl uses Markdown, and the help page for that can be seen HERE! I know it's a bit confusing, but once you get used to it, it's really nifty. :3

For linking to other Weasyl accounts in particular, you use a format like this (with no spaces!):

    [](user: metalmilitiaman) = %20metalmilitiaman
    ![](user: metalmilitiaman) = '%20metalmilitiaman'
    ![metalmilitiaman](user: metalmilitiaman) = metalmilitiaman

While this is the way that user links work, regular links work somewhat like this too. :3 The link I posted up above that goes to the Markdown help page looks like this typed out:

    [HERE](https://www.weasyl.com/help/markdown)

The way I remember the formatting for Markdown links is that the square brackets, [ ], kinda look like a "link button"... So you type in what you want the square button to "say", and the actual link goes in the rounded brackets, ( )... I dunno, it makes sense to me. xD But I hope that helps!

Sorry, it should look like this:

      ![](user:metalmilitiaman) = metalmilitiaman
      ![metalmilitiaman](user:metalmilitiaman) = metalmilitiaman
