Short and simple...I love it here, and I honestly would like to make Weasyl my new hub, replacing FA. LIKE to.
So far I'm mega impressed. I'm loving the folders, the clean-slate feel...it's just...so nice.
I'm going to be real here, the only thing that's keeping me from packing up FA and coming here 100% is that commissions are my income, and we just got a notice in the mail that the rent's increasing in a month. Yes, I am one of those saps attached to a website for business... I read this post by Sheppymomma though that helped me feel less afraid http://mommashaus.tumblr.com/post/73884299686/the-benefits-of-starting-over-on-a-new-website-to but still, I'm trying to feel better about it!
Anyway I have alot of thinking to do...and alot of preparing honestly.
This is something else. feels lost yet at-home all at the same time
As a little extra, try this:

They're trying to help out people (myself included) afraid of moving to a new site due to losing business. It's small right now, but hopefully they can pick up and help more fellow artists.
I feel the exact same way. Weasyl is awesome and I prefer the interface (and staff...) to FA. I LOVE the character and folder features so much. I wish they'd offer ads like FA does, but maybe they'll do that when Weasyl gains a larger userbase. I'd really love to make this place my main, but I get a lot more attention (and commissions) on FA.
Yeah , I know exactly how you feel , so its all understandable. I think the key to this and feeling less antsy is to inform your base the best of your ability. Try to make it about you and not the problem. Enforce your likes and wants and needs and inform your followers that there is a better place and keep em posted. Im happy to see you here and liking the features. Do what you gotta do and things will be alright!
You can also look at an article I wrote back in May last year concerning a method I thought of. You can ignore steps 1 to 3 as you already kind of went through though parts of the process. Step 4 is the main idea for trying to shift you customers to where you are going:
