It may seem soon for some people, but I knew Mappy's time was coming for a bit. The thing is, days is like months for a hamster with a short life.

But I got a little banded black teddy bear. I got her because she kept coming up at me after I first took her out. Most of the other hamsters in there were super jumpy, but she only backed off a little bit and enjoyed the out time. She's over 4 months old, young but a bit old for most people.

She's a bit scared since everything is new, so I give her a day to get used to stuff, but she's mostly rubbing against everything making sure it's hers. Hamsters have some similarities to cats. They can use litterboxes to urinate in, and rub against things to mark their territory.
