I came home Tuesday to a horrible sight: one of my old rat boys had managed to get himself stuck behind the litterbox in the corner of the cage. I have no idea how this happened as it is a corner box clipped to the bars of the cage. I don't know how long he was stuck there (overnight + work at the most) but the trauma was too much for his little body to withstand. I kept him comfortable and gave him fluids, but he passed Wednesday night.

He would have been 3 next month. He was a good rat, fond of removing my glasses and grooming my hair.
