Welcome to Weasyl, new members!

I've been using the site since it was still in its closed beta (invites only) and I think it's really really good. The updates are frequent and the staff is very reachable and helpful, plus they're REALLY willing to listen to your ideas and suggestions AND ACTUALLY implement them! Since I joined, there were tons of updates, and all of them very good!
(Even though I actually dislike Markdown, I'll get used to it! XD)

Also, thank you very much for giving me a watch here! I promise it won't be in vain. EVERYTHING here will be mirrored from FA, PLUS, there will be some Weasyl-exclusive perks here! ;3

I will also be offering Weasyl-only commissions from time to time.

As soon as the site is a bit less unstable due to the DDoS attacks, I will be uploading more stuff!

    I still cant believe it was under a DDoS attack. but they took it in stride . and a top of the attack they were updating and upgrading XD. go figure yeah? anyway , glad to see you here and not afraid of offering exclusives to the site. this community needs to grow.

    Oh! I didn't know about any DDoSes! O: I guess I wasn't using this place enough to notice.

    Anyway, yeah, this place suddenly got a lot more busy in the last few days, I wonder why. >_> (I don't really wonder, I know, in case someone wanted to explain it to me :P )

    I suppose I'll have to continue migrating my submissions from FA.

    Still.. what's markdown? Is it something to do with how there's a second window below/within this one as I type, showing me what I've already typed, a second time?! Because if that's not for some kind of tagging/coding system, it seems pretty useless to have another look at my writing. :P

      When you get online I'll be able to explain the situation to you in depth.

      Markdown is a code system, like BBCode and CSS. Basically what we use to link stuff, put icons, change font colors and stuff. :P

      Markdown lets you do formatting without the [b] [/b] stuff over on FA.

      You can do
      italics
      bold
      bold and italics

      by typing this

      italics
      bold
      bold and italics

      and links like this markdown basics

          Heh, you’ve come across the same bug that just got mentioned for the first time in our dev chat just a few minutes ago! The little tree decoration on the left is covering the link, even though it’s transparent.

          I’d fixed it, but we’re waiting on weykent to deploy the fix.

    DDoS attacks? Is that what's wrong with the site. I thought it was just slow from all the new people jumping ship from Fa. Well I have to say they are taking it in stride O.O. But yeah I do agree I don't use this site too much and plan on using it more now but I have already seen the great improvements lol

      The team said it has nothing to do with server capacity, so it isn't caused by the suddenly increase of activity here!

      But I think they managed to block the attacks since the site seems stable right now!

    Yeah I've heard about the possibility of it being an attack as well :S Silly, after everything that's happened it makes you suspicious.
