This is going to be my first journal entry. I'll probably update it with my iPhone notes.
It's plausible.

In/Out:

I've spent my life outside your window,
paying close attention to your every move.
I stare through the curtains, what will you show,
the posts light the same spot, I'm in the same place, in the ground a groove.
I knock from time to time, when will you know?
I'm scratching for attention, I have so much more to prove.
I'm the rain that taps at the glass every night to sing you to sleep.
Drops are just a form of me to give you time to rest.
Into your thoughts, I'll hopefully creep,
and even if I'm not there, I still wish you the best.
I'll stir the dust, and off your feet I'll sweep,
and at the light that seeps through the cloth, I'll have my face pressed.
I am the soil that lies beneath your feet,
So pick me up and shake dirt from your sheets.
The taste in my mouth is just short of bittersweet,
And I can't stand my tongue this way so on my knees I plead.
"Give me back what I once lost, I dream."
"I can't give back what doesn't belong to me."
"But if I can't see the forest, then where are the trees?"
"I don't know, but the answer is not from me for you to see."
Swallow every ounce of pride you took,
Screamed and cried and on the ground you shook.
I watched it all happen from my hidden nook.
The walls, they whispered, "Get off your back and look."
"I can't see what you want me to see, my eyes were once forsook."
"Then be blind and don't come back to see."
"I'm sorry I can't give you what you need."
"What I needed was you, it's what I need to breathe."
"You never needed anything."
"Then why'd you have to leave?"
No reply, no reply, the rooms got darker,
Why can't you see me, the shadow of your lurker?
You said I never needed anything, but I needed love.
Screaming and fighting was all that lied inside that door.
The rain will sing you to sleep,
and the grains of dirt, into your carpet they will seep.
My figure will remain at the hem of what you miss,
and a life of showtime is what you'll give.
Paying close attention to your every move,
I'll spend my life outside your window.
