Rude Comments:

I've been seeing this on and off for sometime on SEVERAL people's pages/comments/art and it's really ignorant.

Hey, if your a gay men and ONLY prefer other men, AWESOME. You do what you do and enjoy. If your a gay woman who only loves other gay women FANTASTIC, keep on keeping on!Whatever your "tastes" are; stop being douche's about the content. Holy tits. If someone has drawn some porn and you go to their picture and comment with "it's good work, but it'd be way better if you took away the boobs and added a dick. " OR "if you added boobs and took away the dick"... Do you even realize how much of a dick you sound like or? Just because an artist posted something that didn't cater to what you specifically want?

Guys, just stop, you don't have to like the content, but if that's the case, just write" Good work looks awesome!". Personally if I see that shit I IGNORE you, because your opinion on the content isn't important to me until your asking me to make it for you.

I'm sure something in here makes me sound like a bitch, but it's so grating to see people being dicks to someone else just because it's missing what YOU like.

When is it appropriate to "check in" on art?

I want honest opinions here, don't kiss my ass please <3, I need some opinions on shit.

This one is about RECIEVING ART and CHECKING IN on said owed art. Apparently there is "I'm an asshole artist" game when checking in on commissions/trades/freebes that I don't know how to play.

Firstly; I am also an arist. OH SHIT WHO KNEW?! I know what it's like to be plagued every day by that one customer who want to check in on you every 2-3 days. This is NOT okay, I know from experience. Weekly check ins can be annoying, but I know what it's like to simply be curious; so I can deal with weekly ones for those who get paranoid. I try to give you guys a constant update on que times and such by posting often what's going on with my que so you don't have to ask.

SO those of you who are artists, or who get commissions a lot: how often is acceptable to check in on the status of work? For me I usually check in once in a few months, just to touch base with people, talk to them and make sure their lives have been chugging along okay, and then let them go back to doing their thing.

APPARENTLY this makes me a dick to some, and I won't mention who. However I am flustered, aggravated and a bit peeved. I have commissioned Rai-do on DA for some icons on sale (15$ worth in total) for myself, sivel, and Taya. NEVER SEEN EM. And I can't find a que anywhere. I feel like if I ask them about it, suddenly once again, I am the douche bag. I am not trying to be, I am trying to be courteous while checking in. It's maybe been 2-3 months since I check in on the que last. Rai has since opened up more icon commissions again and I don't even know if I am going to get bitched out or not over it. I am not trying to waste my 15 fucking dollars, but I'd like to clarify it's NOT rai-do that's gotten me into a huff. My beef is elsewhere with someone unrelated.

I just feel like I am super chill about people checking in and getting art done as quickly and efficiently as I can, only to have others be exactly the opposite with me. That's what it FEELS like, I could be completely wrong.

What do I even do.
