I do know what art theft is. I looked at both pictures, and while there are similarities, it's not traced. There are several different details to the user's version. To my mind, this is a parody work, not theft.

You must not have looked too close or else you'd be able to see it's an obvious recolor. They did change a few things (badly), but it's the exact same image being scribbled over. Some parts are the exact same but colored differently. That counts as art theft.

Well, what I'm seeing on the thief's gallery, looks a lot more scribbley. I'd need more people to agree one way or the other, rather than 1 person's speculation, and hurt feelings. Sometimes, things look bad, but truly aren't. I'm not defending this guy, just stating how I feel about it.

It's too different to be called art theft. It's close, but it's parody. While I feel your pain, I also feel as if the DA mods won't strike it down, due to how different it is. The over all shape/base it close to being the same, but it's not 80%, so it's not art theft.
