I know, your first thought is "what's the catch?" and your second thought is "Oh, he's spamming."

First, this isn't spam. This is the real Alioth talking - the legit, high-flying foxy; I don't expect you to circulate this or do anything for me or give any information or anything like that. Of course, if this helps you, it's good to pass it on if it would help someone else, but that's up to you.

I came across this article on Gizmodo and thought I would pass it along to you all; I know lots of people wish they had Photoshop and just can't get it because it's so cost-prohibitive.

Now, there are a few catches. First, the software is a very old version. This is a download of Photoshop CS2. (The current Creative Suite series is CS6, just to give you an idea.) But Adobe has deactivated the activation server for CS2, so they're providing the download and the serial number with it (that is, this is legit and comes directly from Adobe's Web site). Second, Adobe no longer provides any support for this software - meaning that it is provided completely "as is" with no smart content or anything like that. Finally, you do have to provide Adobe with some personal information to create an Adobe ID (there is no cost for doing so).
