My year review of 2013

This year was especially difficult since I went through a lot of hardships and also a lot has changed for me.

The major depression and stress problems just before the start of 2013, pausing my studies and visiting a psychiatrist (group sessions & EMDR) weekly.

Then getting to know a new dilemma which was more personal and affected some of my friendships.

All of this in the first half year! I overcame and still try to rule it. No need for the psychiatrist anymore either. I know what to do and what I fight for!

Now some positive furry things! What has happened apart from the sad stuff?!

• Furry Weekend Holland 2013:
  
  A new location, a new experience and a good feeling. It was pretty nice to be in this cozy place. Also helped only a tiny bit for the CSI: Berlin movie. In overall it was nice.

• Volter:
  
  Hanouk/Neonfurstudios made the awesome head of Volter which arrived just a few days before I left for Confuzzled. The handpaws and feetpaws were pretty badly made (not gonna call out the maker) so I let new ones be made. The new feetpaws were made by jillcostumes and the tail is made by me. My plan with Volter is to have him as a plantigrade fullsuit later so updates are still coming on him ;)

• Confuzzled 2013:
  
  I freaking loved it! The best hotel and the best atmosphere! Why oh why do we have to leave this hotel! A lot of friends and my besties from the UK were there ^_^ I even swapped suits with James and got to wear Raven’s suit a few times (which made me fall deeply in love with PhoenixWolfSuits). I had Sparky and Ashi there! Met up with my plush brother Boston (plushsuit from Wolfpawz) and suited with him.
  
  And then there was the dance competition… I don’t know how I did it but I got 1st placed in the solo category :D Freestyle with some nice body twisting stuff <3 NO BROKEN LIMBS OR KNEES! XD
  
  All in all a great experience and I hope to return again to Confuzzled someday! =3

• Cologne Furdance 11 & 12:
  
  Yeah I take these together since they basically give me the same experience =P
  
  First debut of Volter and in the 12 edition I even met up with my sold suit “Django” (taken over by Tsyro) again. This always stays a cool and awesome party!

• Eurofurence 19:
  
  Since Django was still in my possession by then I had all 4 of my suits over at EF xD
  
  At one point I had them all wandering around the lobby with me watching over them from the upper floors. It was lovely to hear the reactions when they were all back telling me how it went =D
  
  Of course I did the dance competition again and gotten myself 3rd place. I lost my feet there apparently ^^” My spins were too fast since it was also the first time wearing full body Sparky at a dance competition. Remade my bodysuit with Yaiko since my old bodysuit was too tight for me to do the tricks and moves I do.
  
  We also organized a little dance workshop for basics and styles that people wanted to learn more about =)
  
  Oh… and you might have seen the pics but now Sparky is the girl in the relationship ;) Raven-Husky was there too again with his suit and skirt. At the dead dog party I was kinda tipsy and went haywire with the skirt on Sparky acting all girly =P The reactions were priceless!!! X’D
  
  Can’t wait to go to next EF! :D Great and awesome party convention ^_^

• Dutch Furrave edition 2 (last edition):
  
  Something we Dutchies set up was the Dutch Furrave. Great party but sadly we had to cut it short since we as staff were all way too busy with our normal lives and couldn’t organize this party another time anymore. Thank you all who visited and helped with us to make it as it was! =D

• Midwest Furfest 2013:
  
  Back in the USA! It was great to meet up with the people I couldn’t see for a big year! <3 Spent a lot of time again with dancing xD Sadly didn’t make the finals for the dance competition but it was awesome to see everybody shine again! ^_^
  
  Also Floor Wars was amazing! I did lend out Sparky to Chino so he was able to compete in the fursuit division. It was funny to see my suit rocking a different dance style xD
  
  It was fucking #FeelsCon! Definitely with all the inspirational speeches from the dancerfurs and I could bring my own speech in crowd. I cried so hard when I was thinking back at these moments ;_; I’LL BE FREAKING BACK NEXT YEAR! <3

• All the furwalks and meets:
  
  It’s always nice to do something in the weekend regarding suiting and entertaining. Sadly I didn’t do it that much this year and went mostly to hang around with friends. Which is definitely a good thing though ^_^

Postive non-furry things:

• After I finished the sessions at the psychologist I started searching for work. Mid July I got in contact with the manager of Domino’s Pizza Breda and I got me a job as driver! Still working there and doing much more than just driving. The assistant manager even asked me last Friday if I maybe wanted some more responsibility and become a shiftrunner too. I was surprised that he wanted me to be a shiftrunner after just 6 months working there. So we’ll see if this might be realized soon =3

• Also I picked up my study again! At EF I got the message that I could start immediately after EF. I’ve been fairly busy with my studies and now enjoying my vacation =)

• Although I was very alone for my B-day/Xmas, I definitely enjoyed the company when I invited some friends over a few days before <3 At the day itself I was at work the other half of the day ^^

I’m done with 2013! LET’S GET READY FOR 2014!!! =D

New and old friendships! Ups and Downs! Battles to make it worth living another year! =P

We stick together and be there for each other! Family, Friends and everyone in this community!
